We all know and love my designer pal Catherine Malandrino for her colorful cocktail dresses, but she's taken a sudden turn for her Fall '08 collection. You decide which Malandrino you love more. Thick sweaters and textured skirt suits like this one dominated. I can do without the swim cap-like beanie, but I think I'd sport the blue suit, especially with the satin chartreuse blouse and green leather gloves. It's classic with a funky twist. What are your thoughts?

1i love malandrino, and i applaud her for branching out from the norm. but this look is not for me.

10Like most runway looks, it isn't meant to be worn directly as it appears on the runway (at least not by "real women"). Bits and pieces are incorporated (such as the color palette and/or the ruffles) into a more simple, paired-down outfit. I really love the saturated color palette.
