Fall 2008 Trend Alert: All About Sleeves

The trends for Fall are starting to reveal themselves and one thing is for sure: It's all about sleeves. Drama has taken form on the arms, where designers are offering cropped, voluminous, lantern, folded and everything in between. Some of these are fun for day and some, like the intricate ones at Marchesa (left), are ideal for night. Day and night, night and day, it's all about sleeves!

I love, love, love fancy detailing on sleeves, so hearing this makes me super happy. I like when the poofs happen below the shoulder (I'm broad shouldered as it is, so I prefer to distract from my football-player-esque frame). I can't wait to see these sleeves translated into lower-cost brands!
