It's been ages since I featured Jennifer Lopez on Celebrity Style. That's probably because she's been in pregnancy hibernation. The stunning singer stepped out for Marchesa's Fall '08 show in a Notte by Marchesa trapeze dress. It's not a pregnancy dress but Jennifer rocks it out despite her full-blown belly. What I love most about her look is how instead of pairing girlie heels with her feminine dress, she opted for something a little rough and tough to create a fashion contradiction. Brilliant!

The dress is NOT flattering on her. When you have a big stomach (whether it's from pregnancy or fat) you have to wear things that draw the eye UPWARDS. So something with a scoop or V-neck. She needs to be showing a little of the upper chest to balance out the picture.
This is not stylish. Just because someone throws on a very nice dress, it does not mean they look good in it. You have to wear an out fit... Not let it "wear you."

The dress looks like a sack. I just want to add that being pregnant isn't an excuse to look frumpy. The pregnant women in my office are always well groomed and fabulous. JLo doesn't even have to get up every single day and pull a 9 to 5!

24i agree wit socialite, an empire dress would've been perfect. she doesnt need this baggy stuff to hide her belly anymore. her shoes however are awesome. bravo to her for being strong enough to walk in them. as for her hair and face...shes really about to pop. thats that 9th month look lol.
25she's been looking realy fab during her pregnancy, but this dress is fugly on her. i think it's safe to say this is the first time Jennifer wore something horrible.

31Well, I've seen JLo look better. I know she's big fan of Marchesa, so I understand why she had to see their show, as the designers credit her with putting them on the map (She wore a beautiful design by them years ago to an awards show, and they got a lot of positive press), but I agree, this not the best look for her. She looks sweaty and tired, and the cut and color of that dress do nothing for her. I also agree that maternity clothes look best on a pregnant woman. Maybe those superpetite types like Jada Pinkett or Heather Locklear can get away with wearing "regular" clothes when expecting,but most should head off to the preggers section when expecting.
