Blue is turning out to be a major red carpet trend this season: first at the SAG Awards, and now at the Grammys. Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Nelly Furtado, Beyonce, and Corinne Bailey Rae all represent, running the spectrum from navy to royal to baby blue. Blue is a hot color right now, and it looks Fab on most people . . . I wonder if it will be making an appearance in a big way at the Oscars, too?

Yeaa, I agree that blue is the color that is in right now.
1Blue is a very beautiful color. But when you're trying to stand out on the red carpet among everyone else, I think the color itself makes you fade into the background a little. Right now the thing to do is take risk. Beyonce took a big risk with her dress. Its beautiful for the runway but i don't think it fits her personality. Alicia picked a dress that not only fits her personality but the dark hue makes it pop against that red carpet. I thought Rihanna's dress was a very good choice. It looks gorgeous against her skin and the messy but chic bundled fabric compliments her new haircut.
2I really like Beyonce's dress even if it's a little over the top for some people. I like the sparkles and the drama. Isn't that what red carpets are for?
