If you're looking for an affordable collection with some serious fashion pedigree — bulls eye.
Designed with the help of Marie-Amelie Sauve, muse to Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquiere and fashion director of Vogue Paris, the newly in-stores Spring collection is full of nonchalantly chic tunic tops, shirtdresses, and baggy denim shorts.
Best of all, prices run $20-$70, with the exception of a cropped leather jacket ($358), so definitely check it out. After looking at this, I can't wait until Gap's other forthcoming European collaboration — shoes crafted by French designer Pierre Hardy — comes through the pipes.

Ooh, I'm very interested in this! I love the Gap for basic tees and sweaters and jeans. Some of these pieces are really cute.
1cute!
2too bad they got rid of the gap here, boo.
3nothing too interesting, unfortunately, in my opinion.
4I might have to check this out. I find the Gap to be a snooze but maybe this won't be so bad.
5Meh.
6Very cute.
7I think it's pretty yawn worthy. Also, some of those tops are not very flattering for people over a B cup.
8hmm i like, i like..

10last season, in this european collection, there was this little sweater dress. it was grey with a little darker grey stripes, a simple sweater dress. except the second stripe from the bottom was almost black, and it was amazing. i loved that little tiny detail.
love it!
11Do you think there's a chance they will run the European collection for Gap Kids? Because that's the only Gap size I can wear. I'm drooling over the collection and nothing will fit me *sigh*
12More predictable things from Gap, but with a new marketing gimmick attached. This dress doesn't even look flattering. I'll wander through, but my only enthusiasm is for an especially great sale.
13Except for that first dress, I don't see how anything is different than what they usually have there.
14Everything looks super cute, I love Gap.
15I know Gap gets a bad fashion rep, but I just bought two dresses there that are ADORABLE and perfect for work where I can't get too crazy with my fashion choices anyway. I work in a law firm, so even dresses from the Gap can make me look very fresh and daring, lol.
16Unfortunately, I'm not really impressed.
17the dress in that main picture looks like an express train to frumpstown
18I bought the empire dress in sugar cookie and I received a few compliments when i wore it last week. The fabrick is somewhat stiff but it is quality and the details at the bottom of the dress and the zipper in the back are special. It looks great with neutrals... i wore it with a light brown wool scarf and tights. I also bought the military skirt, the cargo pants, the boat neck tops, and the 3/4 cardigan. I love this collection for the body-conscious (not body-hugging) proportions... it isn't boring! I also have 5 pieces from the fall collection and i got compliments on every single one of those too!
