After creating my first Oscars red carpet wish list I realized: 1) It was really fun, and 2) There are so many amazing gowns out there and Hollywood stylists aren't being pushy enough with their clients. Or are the actresses afraid of overly dramatic frocks and being subject to the red carpet critics? I think Jay Manuel and Debbie Matenopoulos don't know squat about who's wearing what on the red carpet. Don't listen to them, starlets, listen to me, and Giorgio Armani and Karl Lagerfeld and the Rodarte sisters. It's the Oscars, it's your time to shine, so shine brightly, as Cate would in this white frothy Armani Prive with streaming jeweled detailing.

1While these are cool they would all be on the owrst dressed list, most people don't wantt to see artistic creative gowns at the Oscars or anything that differs to much from the norm.

14I adore the Armani Prive dress for Cate Blanchett. The big flower at the shoulder will certainly distract from her tummy. Wonder when she's due? She looked big at SAG awards.
