I'm not sure if it counts as fashion, but my wedding dress was about $1300. Aside from that, the most expensive fashion item I've ever bought was a $750 coat.
I love my bargains! I get compliments galore and once I say I got it for $(insert price), everyone can't believe it. I don't think I could ever spend more than $200 at the most on an item. I
am satisfied in my bargains and I can definitely get more for my moolah!
well my wedding dress by Lazaro cost about 5 grand.. but i have a few pairs of $500+ shoes and $1000+ bags... i have accessory issues i guess!!!! but hey.. they are all timeless
I bought a pair of sunglasses for $125. I have some shoes that are over $100. I'm usually a bargain shopper, though, and these two minor indiscretions were weak moments I considered a
splurge.
Haha, it was $560 on a Marc Jacobs coat also, weird! Oh wait, it was $750 on a MJ bag, half off too (!) at Neiman's yearly sale. Love Marc Jacobs, obviously:)
Oh wait, shoes. Just got Giuseppe Zanotti GORGEOUS shoes, as a gift, that were over $600! sh*t! I've never seen prettier shoes though...
I've spent $600 on a leather/linen skirt in New York (and it was half price at that) Other than that, all of my designer items are from my parents, who have the funds to buy that stuff. Me,
not so much! I like having LOTS of clothes, so I can't really think of purchasing one item for $500 when I could have like 20 things. I don't like to wear the same thing twice...or at least within a
couple months of each other.
I have done it twice. I've splurged on my LV bag, and an Armani LBD. I love both sooooooo much. I try not to do that very often but I've always wanted both items so I saved and was able to
afford it. I believe a woman should splurge once in a while.
I think it was a backpack for school, 380 reais (US$215).
Here in Brazil everything is overpriced. Juicy Couture panties, for example, cost R$250 (something like US$150) and in Neiman Marcus they are $45! I'm planning to buy a Seven jeans, but here
they are really, really expensive!! They cost more than R$1000, about US$550.
my wedding dress cost me $1600, but apart of this I love bargains... I have some designers items but I bought it on sale a Dolce Gabana dress for $120, a pair of Prada shoes for $100 and a
BCBG maxazaria for $110 ...... HA my mom cant believe it!
I think 180 on Marc by Marc Jacobs boots is the most I've ever spent (they were 70% off at shopbop.com!)... right now I'm saving up for a pair of Louboutins and a MJ bag, and those will
DEFINITELY be the most expensive items in my closet.
I love love love Lucky jeans... so I will spend up to $120 on jeans, but only once every couple of years. I love myself a bargain. I spent $130 on a gorgeous BCBG dress on sale from $450!
I bought a Marc Jacobs bag after I got my first job...It was $1000 and so not worth it. I had to take it to a shoe repair place to get the handles reinforced and one of them is about to break
again.
Well, other than my wedding dress and all of my handbags, the most I've spent on a piece of clothing is $320. It was a really cute BCBG dress that I wanted for the cruise I went on a couple
of years ago.
I've also spent close to $300 on a few Juicy pieces over the years, dresses, sweaters, jackets. I've had a Juicy obsession for about 5 years now and it was BAD at one point! I try to be a
little more frugal with my money now and I really have to LOVE the piece to spend that kind of money on it.
But I don't really mind splurging on handbags or boots.
I spent $1200.00 on two pairs of YSL shoes(favorite shoes!), and I also bought this gorgeus MiuMiu shoes that were $600.00 and my Luis Vuitton bag was $1,400.00 and a Dolce&Gabbana Dress
that I got on sale for $600.00. wow I need to stop shopping like this.
My two biggest splurges were my Gucci horsebit hobo for $1800 and my David Yurman enhancer for around the same. Both classic pieces I will have in my wardrobe forever and they have already
paid for themselves with the amount of time I've worn them. Quality not quantity!
i don't think i've ever spent more than 500 on something but i have several things over 400- marc jacobs shoes, a coach purse and a coach watch, a winter coat. maybe some more shoes lol. i
try to get some stuff on sale though! i got a killer pair of tall black boots for like 200 bucks, originially they were close to 500. and i got another pair of marc jacobs shoes on sale for
under 200.
I spend all my money on purses/bags...like...1500/ea for 2 Bottega Veneta bags. Seeing that written out makes me want to barf, but I love both so it was worth it.
The max amount keeps going up each year...Last year's $1,000 bag is now the $2,000 bag. SO um, yeah my last purchase was a MJ little Edie bag for just under $2000. But that's the only thing
I've ever paid retail on. Generally my cap is $1,000. I'm working to adjust it in a downward way. This past week I bought a Marios Schwab dress marked down from $1600 to $300 (yay) and next
month am embarking on a shopping hiatus until the end of the year.
I spent $1000+ on my gorgeous Balenciaga bag, and I still carry it 2 years later. I felt guilty at first (I'm Catholic, so it comes naturally lol), but now I have absolutely no regrets!
I spend my money on handbags and shoes. I can't spend over a 1000+ on a single clothing items unless it's a leather jacket, coat, or special dress. Handbags I put no price on I have a total
of 4 Chanel 2.55 bag's in different colors and 3 Balenciaga Bags. The most expensive pair of shoes I own I still haven't received because I'm waiting for them but there the Balenciaga Cage
Spring Shoes.
this is how i justify my sometimes explosive (1000 + ) spending....CPW = cost per wear! it's all about the breakdown of cost per wear.....!! then it all equals out..... @ least that's what i tell myself to feel better about insane spending....
Max for bags=$500, but it has to be something classic I'll get use out of for years to come, nothing trendy. I would spend more if I found something I thought wouldn't go out of style
quickly, but I haven't. Max for shoes=$300, because shoe trends also change too frequently, and they wear out faster than a bag anyway! Max for clothes=sky's the limit, if it fits well and
flatters and isn't too trendy.... I do not wait for sales either. But, reality is, few top designers make clothes to fit my proportions so I'm usually resigned to shopping in Ann Taylor,
Banana Republic, JCrew... places that sell petites. I am contemplating a splurge on a camel cashmere coat... if I can find one that wouldn't require tons of $ to tailor just right. So far, I
haven't!
P.s..... if I could find a local shop that could custom-make clothing just for me, I would pay double or triple what I pay now (would save me all the endless wasted hours trying on things).
I can't bring myself to spend more than $300 right now (my Burberry trench, camel hair coat, LV bag, Prada shoes were gifts). If I had an occasion to wear the clothes, I would let myself
splurge.
i used all of my high school graduation money to buy the large marc jacobs stella tote, which was a little over a grand....and to this day i still carry it and its my fav thing ever...im a
bit of a splurger but that by far was the most, all other things have been 500 or less...and now that im in my 3rd year of college im more of an urban outfitters girl these days ha ha
Well my grandparents buy my expensive things..like my gucci, LV, Fendi, and Prada purses. They also got me a $1,500 gucci watch too. But for my own spending, the most I've spent (that I can
think of right now) is on a Betsey Johnson dress, which was only about $100 from Nordstrom Rack. Also like a pair of boots for about $100. I don't like to spend too much money on my stuff.
I'm a bargain shopper.

Singer and actress Selena Gomez posed for pictures at the 2009 American Music Awards with a pretty pink smile on her face. She took advantage of the occasion and went glam; wearing a Talbot Runhof sequin dress with black strappy heels.
my Fendi bag de jour ($1000+) and Miu Miu coffer (a little over $1000)
1I'm not sure if it counts as fashion, but my wedding dress was about $1300. Aside from that, the most expensive fashion item I've ever bought was a $750 coat.
2A Marc Jacobs bag that cost me a little bit over $600.00. I will never do it again, the guilt was awful. Ha.
3A Laundry by Shelli Segal dress that was on sale for $250. I wore it to my 10-year reunion.
4I love my bargains! I get compliments galore and once I say I got it for $(insert price), everyone can't believe it. I don't think I could ever spend more than $200 at the most on an item. I am satisfied in my bargains and I can definitely get more for my moolah!

6i spend money on shoes and bags. clothes, not so much.
7I agree with berrymix! It's all about the SHOES and BAGS!
8I bought a pair of sunglasses for $125. I have some shoes that are over $100. I'm usually a bargain shopper, though, and these two minor indiscretions were weak moments I considered a splurge.

14between 301-500.
15i wont go past 400

22250. A red leather bag that I ended up hating!
23My two biggest splurges were my Gucci horsebit hobo for $1800 and my David Yurman enhancer for around the same. Both classic pieces I will have in my wardrobe forever and they have already paid for themselves with the amount of time I've worn them. Quality not quantity!

26A pair of Coach shoes for $100.
27And a Coach watch that was $280, I think.
I payed 500 dollars for on Italian leather boots. They hurt like hell. But they look sooo good!
28The max amount keeps going up each year...Last year's $1,000 bag is now the $2,000 bag. SO um, yeah my last purchase was a MJ little Edie bag for just under $2000. 29I spent $1000 on a Louie Vuitton Bag and another $900 on a Chloe Bag. Funny enough I don't carry either very much.
30For me, my wedding dress tops it off at five grand, BUT I am eyeing a pair of Rene Caovilla shoes for $1100. Perhaps I'll purchase?
31The only big purchase I ever bought was a LV bag...and then I found out it was a fake!
That
was a horrible day!
32I spent over $700 on a leather jacket by jigsaw and I don't regret a cent!
33I spent $1000+ on my gorgeous Balenciaga bag, and I still carry it 2 years later. I felt guilty at first (I'm Catholic, so it comes naturally lol), but now I have absolutely no regrets!
34A $700 Phillip Lim dress. I absolutely love it, but it's rare for me to spend that much on one thing!
35My grad dress was $500...but it was so worth it because it was the prettest there!
36I spend my money on handbags and shoes. I can't spend over a 1000+ on a single clothing items unless it's a leather jacket, coat, or special dress. 37my most recent impulse purchase was my YVES SAINT LAURENT CROC EMBOSSED TRIBUTE priced a little over $1200 and my GUCCI HOBO priced a little over $900
38I don't like to spend alot on one item but I did but a python bag for $1,400.00 once.

49The most expensive things I ever bought were a coat for $200 and boots for $180. Spending more than $300 or so on one item seems idiotic.
