Anne Hathaway and Jessica Alba both rolled up to the Oscars red carpet last night in similar Marchesa gowns. Both dresses had embellished bodices, jewel-tone colors, flowing fabric, and long trains. So what wins outright — scarlet or aubergine, rosettes or feathers? You decide!

16I love both colors, and the way the women each wore the one best suited for them - ultimately I just didn't like the busy detailing on Anne's.

I do love the color on Jessica, but I really dislike the dress.
29I love the color of Jessica's dress, but I liked the "shoulder" of Anne's dress better. The strapless version of Jessica's dress seemed too boring and low, despite the plumage.
