In designer Heidi Handler's world, contrast plays a major role. Strong and soft hues are fused, metallics are worn in a casual manner, and simple and complex are bosom buddies.
Lovenia, named after Heidi's great-grandmother, is the designer's debut collection and it's nothing short of perfection. Drop-waist dresses ooze 1920s sophistication, and drape the body in a nonchalant way. Wholesale prices for the collection, sold at Gail Rothwell in East Hampton, NY, range from $454 to $1,074. As Heidi sees it, Jean Harlow and Edie Sedgwick are having tea at Tamara de Lempicka's before catching a Josephine Baker show in Paris. How I wish I could be there!

1Eh it's okay...
2pretty and soft,I likey
3I would love to see these clothes on a model who a. doesn't have a shaved head, and b. has maybe eaten something lately. The harshness of the model's look really detracts from the lovely feminine style of the clothing. The whole thing just turns me off as a result.
4I TOTALLY agree, asilgirl. Wow the dress would look SO much better on a pretty, soft feminine lady. Not a bone skeleton.
5She isn't bald though (head not shaved). I think its just pulled back into one of those ridiculously tight ponytails.
Oh, I know her head isn't shaved. I was bein' snarky.
6I like the dress. It look delicate and feminine.
7i would have liked it had it worn by someone else!but not this sicko model!
8Bobble head/lollipop alert.
9Don't like this style.
