I revealed some red carpet secrets last week but the bible on this subject matter is The Black Book of Hollywood Beauty Secrets, $10.50. If you're dying to know beauty secrets of the rich and famous you will certainly get your money's worth with this ten dollar read.
Written by Kym Douglas, host of the upcoming Lifetime makeover show Queen and the image consultant on The View, and celebrity journalist Cindy Pearlman, these ladies had always wanted to know how the A-list stars looked so, well, A-list. It turns out that even the most carefully guarded stars were more than happy to dish. Taken in small doses, this jam-packed inside look at the surprising beauty rituals of A-list stars serves as a funny, fascinating wake-up call to the harsh reality of celebrity self-maintenance.
I jotted down some juicy secrets I know will make you look twice while watching the Golden Globes tonight, to see them read more
- Sarah Jessica Parker runs to the bathroom during commercial breaks to powder her nose - or rather, use wax toilet seat covers to blot her face. She claims this technique does not remove makeup!
- Angelina Jolie creates her high-volume hair by applying baby powder to her hair, roots-to-ends, then blow drying it in.
- Our girl Tyra Banks swears by her home remedy for cellulite: a ground up coffee bean scrub.
- Cameron Diaz is just so resourceful - she uses her lipstick of the evening for blush touch ups.
- A root touch up used by glamour girls Jessica Simpson & Eva Longoria: spray hairspray to your roots and apply matching eye shadow to mask the outgrown color (weird!).
- The best shaving cream? KY Jelly! Yes, as in the personal lubricant. If you say so starlets!

Interesting... I think I will have to get this. The coffee scrub sounds interesting. As for some of the other things-
Truth is, any moisturizing agent is good for shaving. I use sample-size conditioners when traveling. And lipstick will work instead of blush- but it can clog pores.
I would NOT use the toilet-seat covers, tho- they've been exposed to a whole lotta germs. All kinds of cosmetic companies make blotting papers that work the same way and don't cost much.
