It was all checkerboard chicks at Whitley Kros' Fall '08 show! This time around, Marissa Ribisi (Giovanni's twin sis, in case you forgot) and Sophia Banks whipped up a more '80s-inspired collection, but as always, they delivered the fun.

Models, including America's Next Top Model [1] cycle nine second runner up Chantal Jones [2], sashayed down the catwalk in oodles of plaid, large black and white checkers, and zebra-emblazoned pieces, as stars like Bijou Phillips and Jenna Elfman looked on. Polished high-waisted skirts and cardigan dresses balanced out the masculine baggy trousers and blazers.

A few zebra-in-the-crotch pants were random, but I much appreciated the two-tone fringe scarves and bursts of vibrant colors. Any collection that can have fun despite the moodiness of Fall is Fab in my book.
