I have an (old) pair of petite, square shaped onyx studs; I wear them when I'm feeling a bit dark and moody. But what is missing from my studs to be of-the-now? Diamonds! Life & Style demonstrates this jewelry trend in this week's issue. Maybe I can achieve this trendy diamond & onyx jewelry look if I wear my diamond studs in my second ear hole? Aha! This dark, icey jewelry look is art deco in nature, and a bit street - I'm definitely into it. Check out my designer and non designer finds:

David Yurman Onyx/Diamond Ring, $875.

Banana Republic chunky labradorite and smoky quartz necklace,

I love this type of jewelry, but I never have the best thing to wear with that sort of thing.
Preppy to the max!
1I love this look! I just wish I were into jewelry a bit more.
2I like it...I'm actually thinking about Onyx for my bridesmaids...I'm too city to want them in pearls.
3Ooooo, nice idea DCstar! What color are their dresses?
4love them.
5I love diamond & onyx jewelry especially with black clothes.
6I really like the way onyx looks with deep, rich blues and purples. There's something really fin de siecle elegant about that pairing (even though most onyx jewelry I see tends to be Art Deco in design. Go figure...).
Love the chandeliers!
7Love the ring.
8I am in love!!
I love this color and look so nice so me
