Joann Padilla graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology and worked with buyers from Nordstrom to Urban Outfitters, carving out quite the career in fashion.
When she had her daughter Aleya in 1996, everything changed. As Aleya grew, Joann's handbag line grew. In the beginning, she just spent her free time designing and making bags for friends. Soon, strangers on the street were approaching her and asking about the scalloped satchels. Before she knew it, Aleya New York was born . . . and it was much more than a hobby.
Aleya NY Handbags run $295-$605 and available at AleyaNY.com.

i'm not crazy about most of them, but there are a couple in there that are cute
1I do like those blue handbags!
2Some of those are really cute! I'm not a fan of the larger totes like the one you pictured here, but the rest are cute!
3Some of them are really cute!
4Cute!
5None of them are really jumping out at me...they're okay.
6They are cute handbags, but ridiculously overpriced!
7i seen better bags at a flea market or even at target lol
8most of 'em are ok
9overpriced and generally nothing special. I like the look of the white one but for that price, I'd just buy a cheaper, similar looking bag
10it's just the white clutch that interests me..
11i think they are the most beautiful bags i've ever seen
