Maxi dresses are the ultimate way to exude a stylish laid-back look. Just look at Stella McCartney's Spring '08 collection, which was filled with feminine floral maxis. Also take cue from Nicole Richie who recently frolicked LA in a paisley maxi dress. There's something to be said about a dress that can make you look put together and feel comfy at the same time. Do what you will with the neckline but make sure your maxi is floor length. After all, anything shorter wouldn't be a mile-long maxi.

Yay! I boght one in barcelona that I am SO wearing this year (it wasn't in style in Norht American last year
)
1I LOVE maxi dresses. Such an nice alternative to wearing jeans out and about.
I do have problems making sure they're long enough. FYI, if you're tall, the Old Navy dresses are out and that one is pretty cute!
2I love maxi dresses I was a little skeptical about them last spring/summer since minis were in but I totally LOVE the furstenberg one but they don't have it in my size
3i always feel so dressed up in a long dress, no matter what material/style :-\
4Sometimes I like them and I have a couple that I do wear in the summer. But sometimes I think they look weird on me since I'm so tiny. Kind of overwhelming.
But I'd love one like Nicole's...the material looks really light and soft and I love the hippie vibe.
5BCBG Maxazria makes some amazing maxi dresses, i hated the style before but now I have 2 summery ones from BCBG and a gorgeous red carpet worthy one from Bebe!
6Syla by Sylvie Cachay has done a dress called the Gigi that is so cute and reminds me of the Maxi dress. http://syladesigns.com/ I'm in love cuz its so practical for a hot summer day
7Not a fan of this style all that much, but I do like the Mint Jodi Arnold Golden Globe Dress.
8I picked up the Old Navy dress last week and I LOVE it!
9I got an adorable maxi down at Cynthia Rowley, fantastic sample sale. only $59!
10I love dresses like these...
11i own a couple of those up there... and about 6 more... i am obsessed with this trend.
12I'll be passing on this trend. I think you have to be tall & super skinny to pull it off (I'm SHORT and not a toothpick). Besides, i hate the name "maxi." A maxi dress sounds like what you where on a fat day during your period.
13I wish I can wear these type of dresses but since I'm short, it's a no go for me.
14yeah these dresses make short people look even shorter!! uggh.. you gotta be like thin and tall... grr.
15I love love LOVE maxi dresses and I'm so glad that there are more designers coming out with them now. I have a couple from Forever 21 and I get so many compliments when I wear them. I bought a green one from Old Navy today (it was the last one!) and I can't wait to wear it!
16forgive me for being too practical, but doesn't it bug you guys that the bottom of the dress trails on the ground and makes it kind of dirty? not only that but i would think i'd be stepping on the hem and tripping all over the place... =(
(they are pretty though.)
17i love how comfy these maxi dresses may look ,but for my body type it seems that i'd look odd wearing these..(i might as well try to see if it suits me though)
18Delia's also has a GREAT one for $50 - the cool thing is that I bought it before the trend started and I've been wearing it for weeks...
19AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
i didnt know what it was supposed to look like since i wasnt planning on buying one (it was 70% off!)
20i got a gorgeous rayon nude maxi dress from H&M and realized it is at the top of my feet in flats
i am trying to stretch it out somehow.................arrrg
i REALLY want to wear it to a wedding this month
