She kept hers controlled, but you can go as wild with your ruffles as you wish. The wonderful thing about ruffles is that they look good on just about anything: prints, solids, maxis, minis. If too much girliness is a turn-off, mix it up with tough accessories. Rough or refined, I say ruffle me up.
