The kid looks adorable, but... No. No. No.
I've been there, okay? It's NOT cool.
Mom was on a major making matchy matchy outfits kick when I was a kid and not just for mommy and me, sometimes Grandmama got in on the act
There is a picture where we're wearing some god awful flamenco concoctions, looking like we were en route to the Charo lookalike contest. The horror, the HORROR.
Cute dress... depends on the outfit.. the combi may work.
This little girl looks unusually skinny! See how her arms and legs are swimming in the dress (though it is meant to be loose fitting)
I think it is SO TACKY. Every time I see matching mother and daughters, I always feel so bad for the daughters for being so smothered by the mother. And frankly, if it looks cute on your 5
year old daughter.... then it's going to look juvenile on an adult. Hate it.
Matchy-matchy is a big no-no in my book. There just is no need for it, let your child have their own personality and look. Besides, I can't think of an outfit that would translate well from
an adult to a child. You would either end up looking too young or your child would look too old.
For all the posters who said it is smothering the child and that it is wrong because the child should have their own identity and choices...my daughter BEGS me to wear matching clothing all
the time. Did it not ever occur to you that the child may want it, not the mother? My daughter is 4, and I love to make her happy and I think it is cute. I prefer coordinating outfits, not
the exact same (ex: same/similar fabric in different styles like many of the Old Navy dresses). I am not going to wear cartoon clothing, nor is my 4 year old going to wear mini skirts and
heels. We have gotten nothing but compliments on our few matching pieces (and even if we didn't, we don't wear them for other people), so please do not feel "sad" for us. Also, I have a life.
I work full-time at the supervisor level, have two college degrees, volunteer at church, have an active social life, etc. How rude, overly harsh, and critical to tell a mother to get a life
just because her daughetr loves for Mom to wear pink when she wears pink.

Singer and actress Selena Gomez posed for pictures at the 2009 American Music Awards with a pretty pink smile on her face. She took advantage of the occasion and went glam; wearing a Talbot Runhof sequin dress with black strappy heels.
If it's not a regular thing, then it can work. Likeee matching on Easter Sunday, that can be cute.
1it's pretty cute
2it's pretty cute
3its cute! Sounds like something Heidi Klum would do w/her daughter.

Not sure. Depends on the cut, color and fit of the outfit.
7NO! I don't like them haha

9Eh I don't know.
10sooo cute!
11It's cute!
12um, not cute at all. I totally agree with julieulie--it's smothering & juvenile.
That little girl is adorable and totally rocking the dress.
13It really depends on the situation.
14A tad bit too cheesy for me!
15That is not my thing.
16Way too cheesy but then again, I don't have kids yet!
17It's cheesy but not nearly as cheesy as matching couples. That makes me a little sad inside.
18cute on the kid
19cute on the girly looking model
NOT cute on a grown woman together with a matching kid!
A BIG NO!
20Another "No" here...I can't decide if this causes children to grow up too quickly...or adults to dress like kids...but, either way, it's wrong.
Smart business move though...the Phillip Lim kid's clothes are not cheap.
21I can't stand it when I see people doing this. Get a life.
22Not for me...I think it's pretty cheesy.
23I'm still thinking about it, I think I'd have to have a daughter to really get it...
24I think it's cute!
25I don't know. It's cute, but I prefer coordinating to exact matches--now, THAT is cute!

27Depend on age, couple, and of course- the piece they wear.
