I don't want anything Chiniston wore or is thinking of wearing. Calvin Klein is a mediocre desinger with a mediocre fashion portfolio. The wardrobe I really envy is what Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway wore in "Devil Wears Prada". Now that's fashion.

calvin klein lacks imagination. he makes excellent staples (i.e. crisp button down white shirt, basic black trousers) but where does the "designing" come into play in all of this? SJP's face makes pretty clothes look bad with exception of YSL outfits which are fairly loud, calling attention away from horsey face.

i wonder why men don't get a wardrobe budget. do women who wear CK exclusively generally date men in bowling shirts covering their beer guts? art imitates life in this case...

So true EP, and still some people call him a designer. Project Runway contestants have given better fashion than his and they are supposedly amateurs. Calvin Klein is no Roberto Cavali and that's for sure.

true. i might not love a lot of contemporary designers, but they are indeed designers. ck is not. ralph lauren makes those same basics and their quality is better.

she looks classic and fresh in all of her calvin klein. very classy indeed, love it! especially that white sundress! simple, elegant, divine. that is what fashion really shout be about.

It must be me, because I very rarely like anything that Jennifer Anniston wears. I think her wardrobe is generally quite ordinary or actually less than ordinary. My 12 year old liked her sundress if that says anything.

i'm not loving her these days, but, i did love these clothes. they're kinda my style...simple, but chic. i like the way she dresses, for the most part.

i havent seen the movie but those clothes that are shown in this post are cute. sure they arent over the top but who wants over the top clothing for every piece of clothing in their closet. i dont...i like what she has and her sundress is cute. i like the prada dress as well. she dresses cute in the movies she has been in, imo!

The dresses are quite nice, simple and sexy at the same time. I am sick of polo shirts and everything that is Callvi Klein - most of his stuff is plain and uninpired.. basically - blah.
For fashion... The Devil Wears Prada had the definition of 'fashion' in mostly every scene. That movie was great!
Regardless, I still like Jennifer Aniston and she looks great in every shot. I don't think here character in this movie allowed for her to be a fashion icon... but she still looks well put together.

Em, have to agree, as always. I don't have the money to spend on designer threads, personally. I'm terrible with fashion and style, to be honest. I'll admit I've bought some items from CK here, since they always have sales going on.

I like the look she has. I mean in the movie she plays an art gallery sales women - so I am assuming she has a modest salary and that is why they have her in some of the beautiful CK basics.

I mean if you have money to throw around season after season on changing fashion - great for you, but not everyone can.
CK has a quality product and is somewhat timeless due to what you people are calling blah. I think if you have a few bucks to spend and need some basics why not CK - then you are at least getting some quality that can be worn for a few years.
I mean she is hardly dressed like a pauper here and some of you sound very snobbish and like her wearing CK is like wearing the latest bargain basement gear!!

I love CK. I love Cartier. I love Prada. I'm one of those boring black/fall palate person's and since I'm not a clothing horse I so I find it's easier to purchase some long lasting classic pieces and then accessorise them. CK, Chanel, Prada, and YSL do it for me. DonnaK is another I love. I got my Cartier tank as a HS grad present, and I will never need another watch! I'm not a Jennifer Aniston fan onscreen or off but I do have to say that I've likeed a lot of her clothing choices.

Sorry but that Prada dress is ugly and does not flatter her in the second pic. I just like her makeup. Her clothes are safe and boring.

I just want to know how you find out all these designers. Some of the stuff is great, but what I'd love to see is someone put together a photo essay of "basics" that every woman needs to have... and then stunningly lovely examples we can clutch in our hands while running around less expensive boutiques.

Mal are you blind, LOL. Read my comments above about how Calvin is a mediocre designer. Naomi Campell in her hayday couldn't have made these clothes fashionable and that's saying something.

Also JK, I've seen that Prada dress on another celeb and it looked better so perhaps it's not the dress, but the person in it.

i think these clothes are really "normal" looking, and stuff i can see myself wearing... (except the prada dress) i'm not sure i'd be paying those kinds of prices for those clothes, but i think she looks sort of conservatively fashionable...?

I think these clothes are totally on par and fit the context of the movie and of the scenes in "The Breakup". Obviously "DWP" is going to have a higher caliber of fashion. That is what the movie is based on, fashion! You can't expect the wardrobe director to put Anniston in most, if any, of the clothes that Hathaway wore. Although those pieces are stunning, Aniston would look completely out of place and ridiculous. Aniston's wardrobe is a reflection of her character and it totally works. I could totally wear some of these pieces in my day to day life, they look clean classic and chic.
