San Francisco Fashion Week returns to the City by the Bay, August 23rd - 27th, for the third annual event since 2004. The week-long series of parties, workshops and fashion shows will showcase up to twenty of the top emerging and established fashion designers from the Bay Area.

Colleen Quen's Sake-tini dress is just one of the reasons we love this San Franciso designer. In addition to her line of cocktail dresses, each bearing the name of an actual cocktail, her current collection includes evening wear, travel and bridal attire. We hear the Sake-tini is a favorite of Tyra Banks!

Back for the second year running, the design trio at Oda debuted their first collection at San Francisco Fashion Week in August 2005. Their signature style of hip, wearable art incorporates elements of Edwardian tradition and Tokyo-pop.

To initiate the festivities, the Fashion Week Kick-Off Party benefits AIDS research and will host some of the city's most influential fashion designers and industry insiders. If you're in town, buy yourself a ticket and join FAB for all the fun!

I am so going to this. I don't really like the Saki dress, but it is kind of fashionable.
1i love the saketini dress!! i might have to throw a cocktail party just to wear that cocktail dress!
2I don't know what it's called, but i like the asian girls dress, minus a little more ruffles, but other than that, pretty*
3MO - i like that skirt too... it'd be good for party stuff, but probably not for every day with those ruffles, i guess...?
4uh, west coast models are a lot bigger than NYC models. is that FAT on the model's cheeks? and where are the protruding clavicles, twig like legs and enviable hip bones? what are these girls? size 2/4?
5ep, i'm confused... these girls look fat to you?
6Mal, EP is being witty. The NYC girls are reprimanded for being size 2/4, but the LA and other West Coast girls may be up to size 6 sometimes. It's not fair, but I guess NYC doesn't want mere mortals in their fashion week.
7oh! sarcasm... i get it...
my bad...
8overheard recently in a bev hills neiman marcus dressing room. "we go to nyc to feel skinny."
9Plannergirl, they should got to Atlanta and they will feel positively anorexic. They must have meant the general populus of NYC and not the models though.
10caligirl1201. just thought it was the most rude thing i'd heard while. i was in another dressing room and wanted to shout "give me a break and get some self esteem."
11I love that Oda outfit! The hair is a little Something About Mary, but the outfit is awesome.
12i like the colorful dress with the bow in the back.. i know my bf would love it on me
i like the skirt too!! The model with the skirt is soo pretty!!
*team diet coke*
13The sake-tini dress is pretty hot. I like the shock of the model's bright red lipstick paired with the equally bright colors of the dress which you would might guess would clash.
14I love that saki-tini dress, just wish I had someplace exciting to go to, so I could wear it.
