This has been a busy month for celebrities who want to try their hand at designing! In the wake of Rachel Bilson, Avril Lavigne, and Lindsay Lohan all announcing lines, Ashlee Simpson has joined the bunch.
The pop singer has partnered with Wet Seal to design a collection of tops that will launch simultaneously with her new album, Bittersweet World, on April 22. Inspired by Ashlee’s personality, sense of style, and her new album's artwork, the tops are said to be priced in line with the rest of Wet Seal merchandise. 1Ashlee doesn't dress well, so I doubt her line will be cute.
I'm sure its something Papa Joe helped set up to get publicity for her album. She probably won't have much of a role in designing it anyway.

8I'm all set with anything Ashlee Simpson...I feel as uninterested in this as I am about Avril Lavigne's upcoming line.
Wet Seal has cute-looking stuff sometimes, but overall, it's such badly-made clothing. Not sure this line would be any different.
9Whenever i see another celeb clothing line I wonder about the fab, non-famous fashionista who didn't get a job designing because of this obsession with big names. Celebs have enough money already; they should stop taking jobs from real designers.

13Thats kinda annoying how so many celebs are doing this. I want to be a fashion designer and many other girls that i know who are talented want to be designers too, its gonna get harder for us to become what we want to become because of more competetion.
14She's looking really great these days style-wise so I'm curious to see what she comes up with. I can't wait to see Rachel's line too!

18I've always referred to Wet Seal as "Wet Slut". So I guess you know how I feel about this upcoming line.
19i like ashley simpson's more recent sophistication in style. if the wet seal collection looks like that, i may consider buying some items. otherwise, wet seal can be overwhelmingly teeny-boppy at times :-\
