I've seen a lot of bras in my lifetime, but none like this Maidenform Breakthrough Backless Bra ($25).
A lot of bras claim to be backless, but this first-ever design is a completely backless bra. So your first question is, "How does it stay put?" Well, there's silicone on the wire channeling to prevent slippage. The seamless foam cups provide a natural shape, so this is probably not a good option for those who seek major cleavage. This bra will put an end to the issues we face when wearing an open-back dress . . . finally!
On a side note, doesn't the model look like actress Teri Hatcher?

Neat! I need this!
1I wonder...will it work for DD?
Ah! I need this before Friday!!! Where are they selling it at?
2I have a feeling this won't work too well for us larger chested girls.
3I have a small chest, so I'd just go braless. This just doesn't look comfortable to me.
4It's not available yet. Vicious. :*(
5amazing! although, im afraid this will bother me and be uncomfy.
6Like the other ladies with larger chests, I'd still be afraid of slippage. Next time I go bra shopping I will defintiely try it if/when the style is available in my area. You never know and I can always hope.
7I always go braless because I'm flat as a pancake. This doesn't look like it's truly backless with those straps.
8I don't think these would hold my D's at all.
9I'd be interested to see how it feels on, and if it really does get past the slippage problem.
Yeah, she does look like Teri Hatcher about 10 or so years ago.
10when i go backless it tends to be in a halter style, so this wouldn't really work for most of my backless dresses. that being said, it's still a fantastic idea. and yes, the model looks a lot like Teri Hatcher...there is a model in the victoria secret catalog that reminds me of Terri...maybe it's the same model.
11i usually go braless but there are sometimes i'd rather not- i'd be interested in at least trying it on to see!
12she looks like teri hatcher and padma from top chef had a love child!
13cool. I like it.
14I wouldn't trust this bra. Bras are supposed to provide support in the band, not in the straps.
15hhmmmm ....I doubt this work and its probably extremely expensive.
16This DOES NOT WORK!!
If you are small enough to go braless, then you are probably fine (but if you can go braless, why would you need this?). But I was mailed one to test and give them my honest opinion, and my honest opinion was that the product sucked and even though I got the bra for free, it wasn't even worth my time to fill out the form.
You have to walk like a board, and it barely supports your breasts. Lean forward or to the side, and they pop out the bottom and the underwire winds up on top of your breasts. You couldn't pay me enough money to actually ever WEAR this thing -- I was embarrassed enough trying to wear it in my own apartment in front of only my fiance.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
17HMMMMMM.. INERESTING
18Fabulous! =)
19Was this product designed by a MAN? or maybe a Monkey? Because it obviously wasn't designed by women with actual breasts! It'll never stay against your skin, there's nothing to make it hold anything up!
20I need this for this fab black and white Spanish-inspired dress i bought recently and am dying to wear.
21Ehhh...i just checked and they don't have my size...really no 32's?!
22WOW, THAT'S COOL. & CHEAP!
23They should call it wonderless bra!
24doesnt look like it gives much support, plus everyones bra straps never always stay in place anyways right?
wonder why they are not showing a front view. ;]
25I agree with julieulie. I, unfortunately, paid for mine and got it in the mail a few days ago. Excitedly, I took it out and tried it on immediately. What a disappointment. Like what julieulie said, just move a little bit and move your arms from your side, and the bra slides up your chest, exposing your breasts from underneath, offering no coverage whatsoever. 'Am returning it. =(
26i thought victoria's secret already invented something like this...?
27Is this the bra I saw on American Inventor? If it is, it was designed by a large breasted woman and is both comfortable and supportive in consumer testing. I think it's great because a lot of women have beautiful backs even if they are heavier. A nice way to be subtly sexy without showing off too much.
28I'm just concerned that if this bra is worn too often it could cause curvature of the shoulders. If this is true then I wouldn't risk getting a slouch for this bra.
29I still don't see how this would stay put..or provide support.
30CoralAmber - yes it is from american inventor, i cant believe that she won in the end lolz. who would ever think that a backless bra would work!! how pathetic will people get jsut to try and rip people off. i feel so sorry for all these people buything this crap & wasting their money on something useless, whats wrong with the traditional bra thats been around for hunreds of years!?
argh! p!sses me off so much how people try to con everyone with crap that doesnt work, yet they are still allowed to market it falsely!
:@
31Soooo... what's the use of this one? A's and B's would rather go braless, judging by the comments, and C's and up don't trust its support. So who again would wear it? :/
32Not all A's and B's would rather go braless. I think I'm gonna try it. It is cheap.
