Anne Hathaway is wearing Valentino tonight with Van Cleef jewelry. This dress is a bit over the top as is the amount of jewelry she is wearing on her wrist. I wish she had put on a necklace instead of all those bracelets...less is more Anne. Overall, I am not a fan, but what do you all think?

34I don't understand this fascination with bows...however, the rest of the dress was fabulous and she has one of the most classic faces I've seen on anyone in a long time.

You're right, ipoy, there is a big black bow on her butt too. It just looks to me like she was wearing this pretty, white lace column gown and someone went "OMG - I can totally see right through it! I know! We'll cover the important bits with velvet bows and no one will know!!!" Just not good.
And I have to disagree with you Fab about wishing she wore a necklace instead of the bracelets. Since her dress does have that unfortunate bow on the top, a necklace would have been too much going on in the neck/chest area. I thin the bracelets were a smart move.

39Despite this distasteful dress, she definately made up for it in the 2008 Oscars with her red gown. She looked great! and the fact that she faced up and stayed strong during the 2007 Oscars in that white+black bow mistake pretty much showed her courage and determination. Rock on, Anne Hathaway!
