I usually think no one can outdress Nicole Kidman because she had incredible taste... but I think this year Penelope did it! That dress is just incredible!

I'm not sure who my fav was quite yet, but it isn't any of these.

i dont agree with most people appartently. i think most of these dresses were pretty ugly. i m sorry but penelope?? i think that dress is awful. i think it is closest between kate and reese. but ive got to give it to kate, it is just simple and beautiful!

I couldn't decide between Reese and Penelope. I loved both.

For me it was between Reese and Nicole, and I would have gone with Nicole if it weren't for the bow on her shoulder. Reese looks just spectacular.

Goodness, Reese all the way!!! I have always been a fan of how she dresses, whether its casual to take the kids out for an ice-cream to Oscar Night.

I did not like Penelope's dress at all. It looked like she killed the dragon from The Neverending Story to make that dress.

From these choices I picked Cate Blanchett. I also loved Helen Mirren.

My favourite was Cate. Mostly I admit, because I was worried about what she'd wear. I love that she's willing to take fashion risks, but it doesn't always pay off. This time, however, I adore what she's wearing. She looks gorgeous!

Penelope's dress was absolutely stunning!!!! I agree with the weird bow on Nicole's dress...my 2nd fave is Reese Witherspoon--gorgeous as well!

Is this a young crowd? Reeses's dress was pretty but not like O Holy Crap I wish I could look that stunning... in Oscar tradition of WOW factor..plus bold..plus making thier body look flawless..

If I had to choose from this group, I'd say Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet's were the best dressed. I think that Penelope's dress was scary, and yeah Reese looks good, but not that great! Must be a younger crowd for sure

Nicole's bow bothered me. Reese looks great but she didn't take any chances. Im with Tania I think Cate and Kate looked the best in this group.

I have to vote Nicole. Her dress is stunning and she looks great. Her hair couldve been better though.

Cate and Emily-too futuristic for me.

Penelope-too frilly and bird feathery. The pink color is too mauvey pink, it looks like puke.

Kate-too pale and too boring.

Reese-close second, but I dont like the fading at the bottom of the dress. Other than that, she looks HOT.

It was a hard call for me-between Nicole and Reese. I went with Reese though, she looked better then she did last year, and she wasn't even nominated! It definitly says "Ha ha Ryan, I still got it!" Very fierce.

i was mostly disapointed w/ just about everyone last night! i think portia de rossi was the best though! and i thought helen mirren looked beautiful.

nicole was definately the best, she looks spectacular. reese is a close second but its impossible to outdress nicole with that dress, everything about it is just perfect for her. and i disagree with most people about the bow, i think its what makes the dress so dramatic and perfect for the oscars.

I think Reese looked great...I noticed a trend with the long straight blond hair.

Out of these I voted for Reese, with Nicole a close second. Overall, very well done.

Helen Mirren looked elegant and beautiful. She should be up there, not Nicole or Kate. I especially loved Gwen Paltrow's hair and dress... and Reese looks stunning! That divorce has done her well.

I think that Reese just looked very stunning. That color can be hard to pull off for a blonde, but I think she did that desinger proud. Reese won my vote hands down.

both Nicole and Cate B. have this regalness about them, they both are beyond elegant. I hated the way Kate W. looked, the color did not suit her at all

Helen Mirren was gorgeous too, I love how natural she is - no crazy surgeries to hide her age. 61 and stunning!! We need more women like her!
