You may never get into LA hot spot Les Deux, but now you'll get to dress like you would. At least that's what Lauren Conrad wants you to achieve with her latest Les Deux collection. Even if you've only seen one episode of The Hills, you know that the nightclub is the hangout for the cast. It must be a dope spot if it inspired an entire clothing collection!
I'd say this line is the most interesting from the reality star thus far. It includes this Julie Jumper ($180), a loose dress with braided straps, and a bubble dress with a ruffle neckline. Let's hope this is an indication of more fashion forward things to come from LC . . .

Meh, some things are cute...
I just feel like they all look the same...just different colours. You know?
they are cute- and simple- but my prob is the price. cause you need to accessorize. so not only do you pay 180 for that but then you really need to dress it up with a belt or killer shoes or jewels. so the whole outfit ends up being uber expensive
its nice....
but just TOO
simple for
that price..
LC is overrated. If it weren't for her show (which I do like) there is no way people would pay for this collection. Actually, if it weren't for the show, I doubt she'd have a collection at all. I'm totally Team Lauren but please girl, give us some original stuff!
More of the same
that is the stupidest thing i have ever heard...a collection inspired by a club. she needs to seriously give it up. Her collections suck anyway.
It's rather cute, but thinking a sandal would look better with it.
I dont know much about merchandising and pricing and whatnot but come on! $180! Maybe its my naivete but there doesnt seem to e anything special about the material shes using or the make of the clothes that warrants this price tag. Maybe it is simply priced at this level so it wont seem like a teen forever 21 kind of line but shes gotta bring her prices down. I would buy some of her things because they are cute but i agree with megln1022, you would really have to add a bunch to it to make it look interesting or individual.
i hate this friggin model! and lc has been using her since her fisrt line came out! i wouldnt probably wear any of these to le deux, but to the beach perhaps.
ITS ALL THE SAME. LC, you need to turn the volume up like 1000%!!!!!! have you ever heard of PRINTS? or different fabrics other than JERSEY?
They're cute but I have like all of them from F21 at a fraction of the cost. LOVE her but the prices are ridiculous!
too expensive - she needs to get over herself
I wouldnt pay more than $40 for her clothes. Someone needs to pop that big ass head of hers.
You can something similiar @ Forever 21. Im sure of it.
From what I've heard, her collection is expensive due to that she wanted her collection to be done in the US. Therefore, materials, labor, workspace and other misc items are costing her a lot of money.
They're not bad, but they're very simple and you can get these same styles at so many chain stores for SO much cheaper. I doubt I'll ever buy anything from her collections.
That is not fashion forward. That is nothing original, unique, or worthy of that price point. Maybe because i live in New York City I am incapable of getting LA fashion. Everything that girl has "designed" is a copy of stuff that has been around this city for years. If anything the girl picks overdone trends and that's her talent. congratulations LC you are amazing.
I CAN'T STAND HER, OR HER CHEAP LOOKING CLOTHES.
I DIED A LITTLE INSIDE WHEN I REALIZED THAT "THE HILLS IS CANCELED!!!!!!" POST WAS A JOKE.
I wouldn't pay that much! If I had a sewing machine-maybe I could make it myself!?
Zazoza, I totally agree. I despise that model. There's something really unattractive about her face. Anyway, I love the Hills and all...but I am waiting for Whitney's collection to come out! Lauren's personality and style = annoying. To me at least.
I agree with Martini Rossi - usually Forever 21 makes great imitations, but you sacrifice the quality you would get if you bought a trendy, designer item. These pieces are made of jersey, and so nothing special!
I agree - the clothes are cute but too expensive for what you get - even in the US it can not be that expensive.
I think this is really cute.
I agree you can get similar items at Forever 21 or even Wet Seal and Papaya. Sure they aren't really amazing quality but for 25 bucks who cares, you can just get another one when you get sick of wearing it. If you buy one of LCs on the other hand you'd probably feel sorry for not wearing it often because its $100 +...which is ridiculous because they seem to be the same jersey cotton fabric that most cheaper dresses are made out of.
Le lame.
I love rompers, but why would you spend that kind of money when you can get the same look by just wearing shorts and a shirt that are the same colour?
So boring. Not your post, Fab, but LC's collection.
It's all basic, and not in a super-well-made kinda way (like the Row). More....just...not creative.
$180 for a jumper? thats ridiculous...... I can get any of this items for 20 bucks!
It reminds me of SJP's Bitten line: cheap materials, lackluster designs, sold at a cheap price...oh, wait. 2/3 then.
Hmm it's cute but haven't we seen all these looks before. It's hardly anything new and the price is a little high for an LC item.
She smells.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Oh, PS, this is not fashion forward!
Rosa~ I like the fact that her clothes are American made... so I understand a hike in price, but she takes it a bit far. Maybe if she halved the prices, they would seem more reasonable.
The price is too much. I think the collection is 'cute.' Nothing ordinary and if the price is cut by 75% then maybe I'll consider of purchasing 'em.
It needs to be cheaper or else everyone is going to go for Montag's line!
I don't really know why I'm rooting for her so much, but I want LC to design something awesome. I'm not falling over for any of these, though ...
boring
Les Deux is very overrated. Everyone who goes there are hangers-on, talking of who they know and what parties they've been to. I mean at one point, Les Deux might have been a hit spot, now not so much.
That said, maybe this Les Deux collection is a great reflection of the actual nightspot. Nothing special, like everything else, etc.
oh smashingv, what a smashing comment!
very cute collection but still a bit overpriced... stuff doesn't look too high end, seems a little plain for the price. still
USA MADE IS BETTER THAN SWEATSHOP... UNLESS IT'S A USA SWEATSHOP, HOWEVER I DON'T CARE FOR IT TOO MUCH.
You can get really good quality jersey for about $3 per yard, and even the best quality French and Italian jerseys cost no more than about $10 -$15 per yard. These designs are ridiculously uncomplicated cuts and there's no visible detailing whatsoever so assuming even legitimate US garment factories don't pay terribly well, I'm guessing that jumper has a production cost of less than $15. It's probably wholesaling at somewhere around $70/$75, so that's an unnecessarily huge mark up on the cost price... the only reason they're putting them in that price bracket is because they want to, not because they have to, and I'm sorry, but this stuff is about as fashion forward as pair of cotton bloomers. I've been bored with her stuff since day one, I'm still bored, and I wish fashion people would stop trying to big her up to the masses because there's really nothing worth shouting about.
well she won't be getting any of my money
I like her but these clothes are not really that great. Too simple.
I love everything LC... but she has got to step it up.
BORING!!! Too much jersey for my taste...
I THINK THE MODEL IS NICOLE. SHE IS ONE OF THE WINNERS OF AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL. THE PICTURES ARE REALLY BRIGHT. SO BRIGHT HER EYEBALLS BLEND IN WITH HER SKIN. I WOULD BLAME THE PHOTOGRAPHER SHE IS ACTUALLY A VERY PRETTY GIRL.
I think these clothes are way to simple for the price. There is nothing really fab about them.
american apparel is manufactured in LA and it's not that expensive.
she shouldnt be naming a collection after a club whose name she cant even pronounce. every time ihear those girls say it "La Doo" i want to cry.
