Starting April 5, art aficionados and Vuitton lovers will meet at the new Murakami exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum. Here, admiring fans can peruse art and purchase limited-edition Louis Vuitton canvas bags designed by Murakami and Louis Vuitton creative director, Marc Jacobs — quite Faboo.

Originally exhibited at MOCA, the collection garnered high accolades in the industry with an overwhelming response from the media and buyers. The new exhibit will feature the new, highly anticipated Murakami-Vuitton camouflage print along with over 90 different works throughout his career.

It looks awesome!
i have to admit, i love it. but come ON, i've been drawing smiley faces on flowers since approximately 1981. seriously!
im there...i was so sad that it was only in LA
I went to the one at MOCA. It was an amazing exhibition. The size and detail in his work is breathtaking. And yes, KrisSugar, you may have been drawing smiley flowers since the 80s, but the work is not only about aesthetics. Its a commentary on popular culture, not just some doodle a kid made. The theme of his work is complex. At first glance his work may just look like cartoons, but it has meaning behind it.
LOVE THIS!!!
I got a little LV bag with a cherry on it back in the day for a graduation present.
I'm excited to see the new designs!
great exhibit!
I loved the exhibit in LA. FYI: It isn't the most appropriate exhibit for children, despite the smiley flowers.
Looks Fab!
Great!
Murakami for Louis just becomes too trendy. It's like you can only wear it one season or it looks OLD!
I would love to go to that exhibit. And have a purse designed by Murakami for Louis Vuitton.
Anyone know how long the exhibit will be there? Or where it's planning to go next?
Went there yesterday and the artwork was so gorgeous! Did anyone check out the mini video episodes too? The exhibit will be there until mid July.
