Starlets are not only taking fashion risks this year, they are also taking risks with their hair. Updo's were extremely popular this year on the red carpet, and these gals used their coif as an opportunity to add style and an extra accessory to their look.
Here are three jazzy hair accessories on: Maggie Gyllenhaal (she wore a feather hair clip), Katie Holmes (she wore a beaded headpiece) and Penelope Cruz (she attached a faux braid). I think they look great, what do you think?

2Did you notice that Katie's hairpiece matches Beyonce's dress??? They must be the same designer...Valentino I think it was?
3I think Katie overdid it - the dress was very look-at-me, and so was the hair.
4I'm not a fan of the up do, but Maggie's looks the softest, so I choose that one.
5Yeah, DCStar, I'm pretty sure whoever Bedazzled Beyonce's dress went a little crazy and hit Katie in the head by accident. I just don't think those green beads go with her dress at all.
