As the weather warms, you'll start allowing your toesies to breathe with open-toe footwear such as this Gucci Alison High Heel Platform Slide ($675). The problem with high-heeled mules and warm weather? You guessed it: sweaty feet. And slightly moist feet coupled with the lack of straps on mules equals one helluva slip and slide situation . . .

It doesn't take a genius to know that hair spray, especially one with strong hold such as this Aqua Net Extra Super Hold Hairspray ($3), is extremely sticky. To prevent your sweaty feet from sliding in your mules, simply spray a touch of super hold hairspray on the insole of the shoe. The bit of stick will keep your feet from losing control but won't leave your heels sticky. Remember, I said "a touch" so don't go emptying out the entire can of hairspray on your shoes.

Good Tip!
1Id rather wear a different kind of shoe
2Good tip. I have worn "clog socks" with my mules and slip-ons and like how these little quarter socks help absorb sweat. I did a search and found some called foot tubes which would work for peep-toe shoes.

3Gab I'm with you.
4Dang I will so use this. My feet sweat alot.
5Mules aren't my favorite kind of shoe.
6No I wont wear this.
7Ugly shoe but thanks for the tip.
8Fab that was a mean tease! I saw the Gucci mule and thought, oh she's looked for less it. I still really want those heels. I love them.
9Fab... any other options? The thought of spraying my shoes with hairspray is not appealing.
I do have a pair of foot tubes... and a pair of mules that I adore... maybe I'll do a test drive at work tonite!
10I guess I'd do it if I really wanted to wear my mules. Fashion isn't always so glamorous.
11Those are some very expensive stripper shoes.
12Ah, I think that foot sweat plus sticky hairspray sounds like a messy shoe situation I'd be dying to get out of!
