There's been recent debates over what's the hottest accessory of the season. We've heard that the shoe is crushing competition and has recently taken throne over the highly coveted It handbag. Now, luxury watches have joined in the shopping fun and games trying their hand in superseding the current leading player. Vying for its timeless appeal and status symbol, the watch has transformed into a luxury item designed with diamonds and titanium.
If I were to decide, I would go with my first true love: shoes. I don't even wear a watch and I still refuse to pay over $500 for a handbag. But I'm curious, which high ticket accessory are you jonesing for?

13i buy a lot of shoes but they are all under 400. if someone gave me a grand and told me i HAD to spend in on clothes/accessories- i'd put it towards a chanel bag- i'm dying for one!

15Well, I buy like three-six pieces every week, but I hardly ever spend more than $2 on anything -- and no, I don't look like a bum; I actually get compliments all the time. I think "high-ticket" items are such a waste, especially with all the great used stuff out there that will just end up in a landfill if no one gives it new life. Long live the swap meet!

22This is so me, I recently when through and documented my shoe collection (for insurance purposes) and it valued at $10K (yes I am very proud, they each are like little pieces of art) but I just can't get myself to lay down the same amount on a handbag. I feel that you just can't have a bag that says the same as a shoe.

27I don't wear watches at all, so that wouldn't even be on my list. I have a penchant for high-quality designer handbags. I don't keep a lot of them at one time because I'm a minimalist and perfectionist, but I buy a few a year and sell the old ones, or give them away to my friends. I'm not a huge fan of shoes--I have some that are so gorgeous I want to set them on a shelf and admire them--but I get rid of clothes & their matching shoes once a season.

32Shoes! I can never justify spending over $1000 on a purse but I'll buy $1000 shoes any day. I blame it on Mr. Louboutin.
33I have 2 watches that I have spent 1000+ and don't regret either purchase. I have a Movado that is 20 years old and is still stylish and classic. I have a Tag Heuer that looks equally good with sweats or dressed up. Bags come in a close second. I'll pay for quality, but styles and colors change too often. I don't like my feet, so they are not worthy of $1000 shoes! I do like sunglasses...and diamonds...
