For their limited edition collection of tee shirts designed by artists and photographers like Keith Harring and Basquiat, Japanese chain Uniqlo recruited Chloe Sevigny and Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano to front the campaign. The UT Project is all "about self-expression," so the two actors were asked to bring the designs to life by portraying characters and emotions they found within the t-shirts. Do you think they were successful?

I love Chloe. She's not afraid to take risks.
There's something about Chloe that is so alluring to me. I love the fact that she's not your typical beauty (i.e. jessica alba) but she's got this personality and style that is so unique that you're just attracted to her, ya know?
and I love the ads. The ones with her and Tadanobu are totally endearing.
cool concept...chloe is definitely an original artista but i see the same dull expression on her face in most of these ads!! no likey
I don't wear a lot of tees (unless I'm at the gym) but if I did, it would definitely not be these.
I've never really liked Chloe, but I do appreciate that she takes fashion risks.
I voted "these are pretty hideous." I'm normally a big Chloe fan, she's very pretty and talented, but yeah...I think hideous describes these pics!
My bad, I realize you want to know about the t-shirts, which I actually think are cool for t-shirts. I was focusing on Chloe's weird expressions.
Loves it!! I like Chloe she takes risks and is well dressed in most cases....work!
me love it as well
These ads bore me HORRIBLY and I find Chloe to be a physically unattractive person.
I think the t-shirts are hideous.
I adore Tadanobu Asano!!!!
i don't like the shirts... but I love the photos... I love her faces and and the raw exposures of the photographs.
I adore her!
Sugoi! I think the designs are great! Especially with Tadanobu Asano taking part in the Uniqlo campaign
I agree, caernavan! I love Tadanobu Asano! I can't wait to see him in Mongol in theaters soon.
I think they work for what they are, but I'd rather not look at Chloe's mug in anything. That's just me, though.
I also adore Chloe. She looks good in anything and everything.
She looks like she had fun. She's not a model. She's not "selling you the t-shirt with her eyes". I prefer campaigns like this, but I may be different.
Chloe has a scary face!!!
These are very Chloe and it's the best I've seen her look, though that isn't saying much.
Good clothes for Chloe. She does her own thing fashion wise and the clothes look great on her. Look great on her but that doesn't mean i am going to try them.
I love the t-shirts and I like Chloe in the pictures, but she is doing something funny with her eyes in all the pictures. The guy looks very comfortable in front of the camera, but she looks a little wooden. Oh well. The pictures do make me want to buy the shirts though, so the campaign works!
chloe=very pretty??????
OMG
I hate the first one of Chloe but the rest look pretty good...
These appeared forever ago but I have to chip in. Sevigny was an awful choice for these ads - she's just some bored-looking hipster whose character range is limited to - well - herself. Obviously an infinitely superior choice would have been Tadanobu's awesome wife, Chara.
Fortunately the ads seem to favour Tadanobu Asano, one of Japan's finest renaissance men. He beautifully illustrates different characters based on the tee designs. Hip, crazy, smooth, goofy, he does it all in just one shoot.
