So here we are, three days into Oscars mania. I have examined the red carpet ensembles through and through and have compiled my A List & B List. I hope it surprises and satisfies my faithful readers! To see bellasugar's A List & B List click here. On to my A List:
Emily: you & your sapphire Calvin Klein have stolen my heart. Nicole: your daring Balenciaga red gown was a bold move; I love you in red! Cate: always the style setter, you are an inspiration to us all.

Anne: you bug and your bow is ruinous. Meryl: I'll try to pretend this never happened. Jessica: you are boring and masculine. There, I got it off my chest!

Liz Claiborne
Orlando Orlandini
Comme des Garcons
I agree with your A List! Emily Blunt was clearly one of the best dressed for the night!!
But I love love what Jessica Biel was wearing. It's a bit too informal for the Oscars but I thought that dress suited her perfectly.
1I thought Jessica Biel looked very retro-Barbie...I was feeling that.
Anne Hathaway did disappoint. I expect more from her but at least she wasn't wearing just another version of that Ralph Lauren gown she wore all last year.
2Yay Emily Blunt!
3Gwyneth was my absolute favorite. Her gown was so strange but I think it was FABULOUS.
4I love your Jessica comment. I agree. I thought the dress was too ridiculously coloured.
5I agree wholeheartedly, Fab. Although I think that Eva Green was worse than Anne Hathaway.
6Emily Blunt did look terrific. Cate looked wonderful as always, but has anyone else noticed she wears the exact same shoes in different colors to all the award shows?
7I actually don't like any of the dresses on the A or B list.
8I was disappointed that the Devil Wears Prada stars did not represent. With the exception of Emily Blunt, they were frumpy.
9anne hathaway shocked me - you guys too?
10boring and masculine -s o funny - so true
11I was shocked at Anne and Meryl too, mom2. You would think when the whole movie is about fashion, they would be dressed to the nines for the Oscars.
Emily Blunt looked gorgeous. I loved the blue. Nicole's dress was great except for that thing on her neck. Even the trailing bit was nice, the bow just seemed odd to me.
12~live well... laugh hard...~
yes, mom2 i was shocked with anne hathaway's dress! it was so disappointing!
more celebs to add in the A list:
REESE WITHERSPOON- WOW was all i can say when i saw her. completely effortless! what a way to get back at your ex!
PENELOPE CRUZ- sooo gorgeous! Versace couture at its finest!
my picks for the B list:
KIRSTEN DUNST- i love her vintage chic style but her oscar gown this year was just plain ugly for me.
BEYONCE- it was just.. TOO MUCH.
JENNIFER HUDSON- i know she regrets it too... the metallic bolero was just so wrong! and why did her her oscar dela renta have pockets in them??!!
13I might be the only person on earth who appreciated the dress Anne Hathaway wore! I just loved it. The bow didn't annoy me one bit. At least it was interesting and fresh and not a boring strapless same old same old schtick. WHEW! Got that off my chest.
14Emily was an A + from head to toe. Nicole was ou-la-la, except for that huge bow, it was a bit too much fabric for her slim frame, kinda distracted from everything else that was good.
15I think that Penelope deserves to be on the A list.. Without a doubt she was on the most beautiful girls that night. And i dont like her. Eva Green sure does look worse than Meryl Streep and Anne, but that´s just me. And please dont make talk about Kirsten Dunst, wtf was that?
16Emily's color was really great for her.
17I agree with Emily Blunt 100%. I thought she looked wonderful. I'm not a huge fan of Jessica's dress however, I think she has a wonderful athletic body. She is fit instead of starving. I wouldn't mind looking that fit at all, I mean I go to the gym 6 days a week for it. These people can't win lol.
18ummm...Marci I have to disagree with you there. Cate wore (even though I wasn't a huge fan of the dress) those Vivier "flower poison" shoes to the Golden Globes they were unbelievable! They were the most coveted shoes on the red carpet that night and then she wore those gold shoes with the Armani dress that were to die for. Oscar night...I don't know if you could even see the shoes underneath the dress, I know I couldn't. Besides you weren't exactly supposed to see the shoes with that dress anyhow. So...please clarify.
