French films have a distinct quirkiness that I crave from time to time. I recently watched, for the hundredth time, Amélie starring cute-as-a-button, French actress, Audrey Tautou. She is a hot ticket slated to play Coco Chanel in an upcoming flick and rumored to be the next face of Chanel No. 5 perfume. Her short banged bob and vintage wardrobe made me want to visit my hairstylist sooner than scheduled, and wear my hemline a little longer.
If Clémence Poésy is France's eccentric child, and Marion Cotillard is the sophisticated sister, then Audrey is the wise, ripe daughter that is utterly comfortable in her skin.
One look at Audrey's clothes and pixie haircut and it's obvious that the girl cares about fashion. When on the red carpet, she's quirky but always polished. Her choice of dresses makes it known that she's not OK with being a fashion sheep. Her off-carpet style usually consists of relaxed jeans, paired with a cool jacket and easy flats. With her petite frame and at-ease style, I get the sense that for Miss Tatou, shopping is an in-and-out experience. I'd love to accompany her one day!

I wouldn't say Marion is the more sophisticated or that Audrey is the eccentric one, but in any case they are both beautiful and great actors... I really wish I could meet Audrey in person... I actually had dinner with Marion the last week end.. that was really quite exciting

10She's so cute. And I wish people wouldn't comment on her weight. Any celebrity who's not "meaty" always get stupid comments made about them and it's not even comments that usually involve being nice about it, just rude and sometimes nasty and mean spirited. Well not here actually, but comments about other people I read once were completely out of line. My aunt has a similar type of frame and she's older and has no interest in trying to be a smaller size, especially since she feels extra would make her look younger. My sister also has a small thin frame naturally. It's just how she's built and I'm so tired of people focusing so so much on other people's weight. Either someone's too "fat" even though they look perfectly fine or someone's tiny therefore must be underweight even if they obviously have a small frame. Sorry, but this is a huge pet peeve of mine. Some people are built smaller just like some of us aren't. That's life and I don't think French actresses have the obsession with weight we have over here.
