OK, is it just me or is something seriously wrong with this Alexander Wang Pleated Pant ($276). The cropped leg and super baggy cut is quite clownish — and those pleats? Seriously unflattering. Be warned: This pant silhouette will be sticking around.

Extremely FUG and Unflattering!
The 80's are striking back. Duck and cover.
Yeah, everyone would laugh at me if I wore those pants =p
I would laugh at myself!
Not a fan - but I like the shoes
Not very nice looking!!!
Pleated pants look good on NO ONE!
Those pants don't even fit nicely on the model in the picture. No way would I wear something like that. I like Alexander Wang clothing, but this is an item I could do without.
They look like wool cashmere MC Hammer pants
gross. It looks like she's wearing her fat uncles pants from 1988.
I saw pants like this put together in an outfit in Marie Claire. They still look awful. Definitely a trend I won't be taking part in.
The shoes are cool, but the pants...why?
bad bad bad!
Hate them, ill take the shoes anytime though
The shoes aren't bad, though I prefer ankle straps, but I don't think there's a person on earth that would look good in those pants!
not hot!
:robot
The only person who could look normal in those is probably a 5'1 overweight man.
The model looks plus size on the bottom! Who said love it? please, get some style help, now!
Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
I love them!
I have to disagree
I see the point of creating these pants, but it's badly shown on the photo, especially with these shoes.
Just imagine it with a loose and long tee shirt(something "rock"), some beige/brown low boots, a long loose cardigan(what's the word in english LOL), a long necklace, and the perfect hair, this could be a perfect style, man/woman influence, and totally cool chic.
Everyone seems to hate it, though, so I might be too eccentric or creative in this case LOL!
these styles of pants are all over the streets of paris, if garance doré's blog is anything to go by. i mean, i wouldnt want to wear them, personally, but the french are.
I hate them, obviously, but maybe it would just take the right person, style, and body type. I wouldn't be able to wear them myself. I'm 5'3" and like 90 pounds; I'd be swimming in them.
That picture of them really is awful.
UMMM... NO?
Those are SO FUG!!! I saw a pair of his boyfriend jeans for spring - they were hideous, but I tried them on for the heck of it. OMG, disaster!!! I can't imagine anyone wanting them and they weren't cheap, either!
eew
NO, NO, they look like oversized men's trousers and if they don't look good on this model what would the rest of us look like. Yikes!!!
I think they *could* be cute if they weren't SO oversized. Paired with a fitted? Maybe.
man, my girlfriends and i finally got our friend to STOP wearing pleated pants to work. we worked so hard, and now this!
Haha these are like Aladdin pants!
ugly 80's style!
not my style.
Beyond hideous.
I hate it.
STOP! HAMMER TIME
This is reminiscent of Issey Miyake back in the late 80s early 90s. Not flattering at all.
Hello MC Hammer...
Pleats in pants are fine, these particular pants are not.
I like them. They can look good with the right top and heels.
Bravo RoyalBlue! I don't mind them, but only if you are super skinny model (not from France obviously) which cuts out about 95% of the population...remind me again why designers use thin models?
designers are constantly using the "but our clothes look better on thinner girls!" excuse for their size-0 runway models, and this is why: ONLY A GIRL WHO WAS EXTREMELY TALL AND DEVASTATINGLY THIN COULD WORK A LOOK LIKE THIS. if a girl's got curves, these pants will only make her look bigger, and a petite girl would be lost in these. and pleats on the front? seriously? there was a project runway episode last season where the judges ragged on one of the designer's pants - because they were pleated in the front! sooooo unflattering.
i hate that they're tapered at the bottom and, and they are too short!
I thought they looked comphy, but I'd have to try them on and see if they looked dorky or not. A tall skinny girl would look cute in these...but er, that's not me.
LOL to Hammertime!
That's soo bad! I don't know how to describe how ugly it is! =/
Hi Dad, do you mind if I borrow your pants?
Eek, these are scary! I will never try this style!
Desperate for originality.
i think this could really work: with a slim tank, tall sandals, carefree attitude? perfect. also in winter it would work with maybe a turtleneck and tucked into tall, lace up style boots. the trick is to keep it masculine.
Good God those are HEINOUS.
Claire you beat me to it! I was thinking "Uh-oh this is getting dangerously close to MC Hammer pants territory."
I'm sure they looked fantastic on the runway, but I just cannot see how one could wear these in everyday life without looking frumpy and disheveled.
