There are so many high-low designer collaborations these days, I can hardly keep track of them all. But girl am I glad I didn't let the Celia Birtwell for Express one slip through the cracks. Her '60s-inspired prints are just what I need right now. The sweet floral patterns adorning tie-front blouses and airy dresses are a nod to the past but they feel current. I'm definitely making a stop at my local Express this weekend, and I recommend you do the same!

1Cute, but I refuse to set foot into Express ever again. Their salespeople are RAVENOUS; I feel like a sheep walking into a pen of starving wolves.
I wish they'd set up an eCommerce site, already. It's 2008 for chrissakes.

4I LOVE Express. That sucks whiplash. The people that work at the Express here are ALWAYS so nice and helpful.
5Very cute. I never go to Express anymore, though. It used to be where I went for all my basics but they've kind of changed their image over the years. I agree that the salespeople are pretty over-the-top.

7I really love these prints, they feel fresh and new. Not so sure that I will visit Express however ...
8Not spending $80 on a top from Express - since it will probably fall apart after three weeks.
9I used to work at Express, and their sales training course was offensive. We were instructed in all the high pressure tactics, like telling someone that only Express black pants would look right with that new shirt they are buying so they need to buy the pants, too. Even the girls who work the register are responsible for 10% of sales, which is why they always bug you about socks and jewelry, if they talk to you at all.
Oh, and a big sign hanging on the back of the stockroom door was advertising more positions open in the store. It said, "We need more salespeople! Do you know anyone like you? Fun, smart, CUTE?"
I hated the whole thing and quit after 3 days.

11Hmmm...I don't really love this collection. I like the dress in the 5th photo, but I don't know that I'd pay $130 for it.
