I've said it once and I'll say it again: I would consider a short wedding dress. I'm an unconventional gal and a more cocktail-inspired wedding dress is an idea I've been flirting with since, well, I started bringing you wedding eye candy. Not many women seem to take the plunge and go for the short stuff, however, some of you would consider it. Maybe this adorable retro beauty by Oscar de la Renta can help sway you. Any takers? I do!

I totally want to wear a short dress! Fab, can you feature some cute short dresses on a budget? All of the wedding dress sites that are inexpensive (david's) focus much more on long dresses and I don't like their short ones.
Please!?
1Ps. I like all of those short ones...just a bit out of price range
2They're all very pretty.
3I had always thought I'd wear a short prom-style dress, but from the past few weddings I've been to they seem to have become the dress of choice for every female guest, so as much as I'm not wanting the Princess-for-a-day-centre-of-attention experience, I do feel like I'd like to stand out a little from my guests and I guess I just don't feel like short dresses have enough wow-factor.
4I love the short wedding dress looks. Why not show off some leg! And they are perfect for beach weddings. The sand can't ruin a short dress.
5Short and casual, nicE!
6i would LOVE a short wedding dress! tasteful of course.
7I would love a short dress if I were an older bride... b/c it would make it fresh and new. But as a young bride I want a more traditional look
8I think short dresses are adorable, but I decided to go long and lean.
Sara, you should check out department stores or look online for non-wedding white dresses. I bought this one for my rehearsal dinner, because I figured that I might as well look like a bride both nights! Love the rosette.

9I'd love a short wedding dress. I've never imagined myself in a long one, even as a kid.
10I'm getting married at the courthouse next month and I'm wearing and ivory knee-length dress and I love it. But let me tell you...I looked all over for a dress with NO LUCK. My mom (who is an amazing seamstress) is making it for me. I really don't know why I didn't ask her to make it in the first place?!?!
11this not only work
12for brides.......
they work for everyone
their really nice...
The middle Oscar one is amazing! Behnaz looked so great in hers! Bring on the short dresses!
13I am wearing a mid-length dress for my wedding...Slightly below my knees...Since I'm so short, that is the equivalent of a short dress IRL
14If I ever get married I am so wearing a short dress. I am 5 feet tall and have never liked wearing long dresses and actually never have worn a long dress! I want to be me on that special day and that would be me in a bad a$# short dress w/ killer heels!!
15oh thats an adorable dress. i'm not sure that i'd wear it for my wedding though.
16lizzy, that one is really cute! I have looked in local department stores recently but haven't seen anything great. I'd be nervous to buy something without trying it on, but it may come to that.
17I actually had two weddings, both that I wore knee length dresses at. The first was a beach wedding (we eloped) in Guam where I wore a cute strappy Ralph Lauren seersucker dress ($50 at Bluefly!). For the bigger wedding in California, I wore a grecian-inspired ivory Nicole Miller dress (which looked amazing with my post Guam tan and accented the breasticles nicely). Unfortunately my marriage didn't last, but I got what I went for: being the hot bride.
18I'd prefer long.
19I think short dresses could work in a non-traditional wedding ceremony...or a destination wedding.
20I would consider it...especially if the big day fell in the summer months. It sounds fun and glam!
