My heart goes out to Mischa who's been getting a lot of unneccesary flack for her body lately. But my heart does not go out to girls when they wear unflattering clothes that draw attention to their so-called problem areas.
The Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony floral corset top Mischa wore to the Event to Prevent benefit is lovely, but the wrinkled khaki mom pants? Not so much. The combination of high waist and tapered bottom does not work here. Instead, she should have worn a pair of high-waist dark jeans that are more slimming. Or, a black pencil skirt to keep with the alternative vibe. I do like her messenger bag, metallic heels, and layered jewelry, though.
How would YOU wear it?

This is just so horrid. The Opening Ceremony stuff looks 20 years old. I would burn it, not wear it. Sorry, Chloe.
call me an idiot but i aint mad at it.
that top is so short -- I know she has a long body, but the cropped look is really not flattering on anyone (in my humble opinion). so... i can't really pick a bottom to make it any better
She just tries too hard to be different with her fashion choices and its almost always horrible. The entire this is just horrible
The pants are so so but I absolutely love the top! I think she looks good here
she would of blended right into the 80's.
I have a nightee top like hers and it's my favorite. I wouldn't wear it to a party though
oh and the pants look extremely plain and too baggy.
Yea the top is a bit short. But I love the color of the pants.
I actually think she looks great and her outfit is awesome. And apparently UK Fabsugar agrees.

I would wear her outfit. It has a classic appeal that is both feminine and masculine. Kind of Katharine Hepburn inspired. I don't like most of her looks because I'm not into the bohemian rocker thing and she is usually off in her fashion decisions, but I really like this choice.
Those look like mommy pants...
I don't think that this is a bad look of Mischa. I like the pants and love the top. Why I hate about Mischa these days is her hair
It's funny because Chloe's collection for Opening Ceremony looks just like her wardrobe from Big Love.
I like the differing opinions between Fab and Fab UK, cultural style differences perhaps?
I'm more inclined to agree with Fab UK, I quite like it.
I agree Lala!
very 80's!
Holy Mom pants Batman!
I definitely would not be caught dead in pants like that! But I love her top.
I am really not a fan of hers whatsoever, but I agree that the top would have been better with maybe a pencil skirt or something? Those pants are horrifying. Did she not have a mirror?
i don't like the top either...i dunno, but to me it just screams tackiness.
yeah, I am pretty sure yall just wrong... u rock Mischa! keep great things up in life!
I would trade the pants for the Alexander Wang khaki high-waist skirt (or tulip skirt?) Then I would definitely wear it.
I don't know, I kinda think she looks cute. It's nothing I would wear but she is funky and spunky enough to pull it off.
I love it! Other than the hair, I think she looks great : )
While I wouldn't wear those trousers, I think if she changed her top she could make it look more fashionable, and less of a time warp outfit
God I hate her personal style. Her ex-castmate Rachel Bilson dresses a million times better.
I actually like what she's wearing. A little eccentric, but looks good on her nonetheless!
I like it. and Mischa is young so she can get away with it (unfortunately, when comes to fashion, age is a huge factor).
A funky pencil skirt would have made the top sexier.
Hello 80's! No thank you
I personally would have worn it with a highwaisted black skirt... sheer black leggings and the burberry black studded platforms. you gotta make that top pop baby.
what type of flack was she getting for her body?
i agree that the pants are unflattering. the shoes are hot though!
Mischa Barton's style is officially on "E".
I usually Mischa's outfits!! But for this one I would lose the top and the pants! Both are quite ill-fitting. I would keep the bag though...
I wouldn't want to wear the top or the pants!
I wouldn't wear either the top or pants, but only because it would look awful on me. For all the crap she gets about her body, it's definitely pretty good if she can pull off a look like this!
I disagree. The pants nip in at her waist, and flatter what curves she has the rest if the way down. altogether adorable.
Those pants look like they're from the late 80s or early 90s. The top is far too short to do anything with but if I had to I'd wear it with a white skirt.
Slimmer pants, same color okay and a little cute jacket to go over the top.
