One Halloween I was Red Mountain Warrior (yes, totally made up). I had always wanted to do a Native American costume because of my love for Navajo beads. The costume was killer and I whipped out all my rainbow beaded baubles. Looks like I can bring them out again and maybe add to my collection with these Free People Kingston Bangles ($28) or graduate to a fun handbag. All this also reminds me of Mexico . . . sigh.

I like these.
1As a child my parents took us to several NA pow wows in NE and the jewelry I would come across was amazing. I have some pretty unique pieces.
2It's not for me, but I think some of the pieces are neat.
Aimeeb, I used to go to pow-wows too, with Heather! She's 1/4 American Indian and her grandfather was named Chief One Bear. She always had a lot of cool-looking jewelry too.
3Oh really??? My dad's friend was NA so he invited our whole family once and my 'rents loved going. I was probably around 10/11 and it was most def an experience.
I used to go to the Barnstable Fair where there were tents FULL of jewelry like this. I have some pretty amazing turquoise pieces.
4These remind me of my high school years...definitely not getting back to those.
5these are really nice pieces,
