Have you all noticed the striking similarities between Lauren Conrad and Nicole Richie lately? First LC channeled Nicole in cut-off shorts and now, like Richie, she wore an Elizabeth and James dress. It may be mere coincidence, but I'm just saying! There's no doubt, however, that Lauren looked pretty at MTV's Upfront Presentation last night. The blue hue matches her skin and brings out her baby blues. Per usual, she kept her accessories to a minimum, but in this case, a dress that striking should be center of attention.

7I haven't really noticed the Nicole Richie connection, but I'm loving that dress! I like almost every piece I've seen from Elizabeth and James, in fact.

But, I agree with Syako, but mainly on the fact that I don't find LC's "style" that pioneering, nor would I expect it to be. She's just a regular Jane, a pretty one though, that happens to have cameras following her.
12Fab, LC wore an Elizabeth and James shirt with leather tights the day before Nicole wore her E&J shirt dress. Anyways, Lauren looks great and she has been looking superb lately.
13I swear, the last 5 or so events I've seen photos of Lauren at, she's been wearing items PREVIOUSLY tagged by me! It's like she stalks my teamsugar or something, (which would be so awesome.) I love, love LOVE this dress.
14Fleurfairy! You are the only one so far that i agree with. I'm sorry ladies but this dress is terrible. Maybe it's just me, but I think the fabric looks cheap. And the link with the different views shows it from the back and it just hangs. There is also a close-up of the front along the top of the bust, and the sewing is so un-even. Paying almost $400 dollars for this is out of control.
15I noticed the Richie connection a while ago, but there are certain looks that don't look right on Lauren, or she is not pulling them off as well as richie, although i don't care for this dress, this look works for her, but the edgier styles look too forced, not natural like richie... richie has great sense of style!

It's not just that she's wearing same items, but that she is copying off in entirety. That's not 'chanelling'.. it's YAWN-INDUCING-COPYCATTING!
25^ your rant does not make any sense. Lauren was wearing the braids in her hair before nicole. As for the moccassins, yes Kate Moss started but how many girls have been wearting them now. Lauren is wayy prettier than both Nicole or Kate and equally as stylish.
26^Oh did she, re braids? Ok, oops, my bad! I just assumed this one would follow the other one. Meh. But I still reckon she looks bad generally, first or not! But that's just me..
p.s. I WAS a bit ranty wasn't I? Damn. My bad, again. I had just finished work where such a STUPID incident happened that infuriated/upset me and I think I was in a very antsy mood. pooo
