Ashley Olsen and Margherita Missoni are friends, so it's funny that both of them wore Missoni's sequined vest. I guess some friends do dress alike! Ashley first wore it at an amFAR event back in January, with barely any accessories. Underneath it, she wore a white, silk floor-length dress that covers her shoes. Margherita opted for a little more dazzle when she wore the vest at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. The dress she paired it with is also white with small pink dots, and her oversized clutch is metallic gray. She also threw on bangles, earrings, and a necklace. Ash is characteristically understated, and Margherita is accessorized like always. Who do you think wore it better?

9I think it looks better on Ashley because she has her hands cinching it up at her waist in the picture, making it look less gigantic and boxy. Some sort of belt maybe would help? Plus it is really, really busy so the addition of the patterned dress and accessories on Margherita just makes it way too much.
I also kinda think it looks like it was made from variously colored gum wrappers...

17White is the wrong color to wear with that strong a piece. and if the size was correct perhaps both would have been better. Belted would look good too. But, quite frankly, I don't think those Olsens' ever look good.
the vest looks like it's been bejewelled with glamstones. On Margherita it's swimming though accessories. I don't particularly like it, but Ashley pulls it off because her look is simple and balanced.
18why not just make the vest into a dress, put a belt on it and call it a day? it would have looked better that way!

32I like it a lot, but not as a vest. It should be made into a dress, and I would TOTALLY wear it (most of you probably think I'm crazy, but I love crazy stuff like this). So, while I don't like it on either of them, especially the way they wore it over a long sack dress, I picked Ashley just because she's cinching her wai ithatst so t doesn't look like a paper bag...

Just draping it over another loose item seems ill-thought out and does not benefit Margherita's shape in any way...in her case the outfit would look better without the vest at all, I think the dress is cute but wasted on this look!
