There's been a lot of chatter about Sharon Stone's insensitive remarks regarding the massive earthquake that recently struck China. I believe the actress said something along the lines of, "They're not being nice to the Dalai Lama, who is a good friend of mine. And then the earthquake and all this stuff happened, and I thought, is that karma?" Mind you she said this at the Cannes Film Festival — not very classy, indeed.
Well Sharon, karma's a bitch and her China Dior ads have been pulled as a result. As well, the house of Dior is distancing itself from the actress, who has since apologized. Her words: “In the course of the interview I made inappropriate remarks and for any harm created towards the Chinese people I am extremely sad and apologize,” Stone said. It is still to be determined if the actress will continue to represent the house.

Sounds like she was just wasn't thinking and said some stupid things. We've all said and done things we regret... like when I took my pants off at my friends house.
1Yes we've all said things we regret, but if you see the video of when she made the comment I doubt that she mistakenly said this.
She even paused and almost giggled between sentences. She sounds like a "kook evangalist" that says "S.F. gets earthquakes because of gays"!
I'm all for freedom of speech ( or I wouldn't be able to post this) but to think that harm to innocent Chinese Civilans is in ( not just the government you don't like) in some way is "justified" you should be called out and in this case fired!
2I definitely agree that what she said was very wrong. Whether she means it or not, she was definitely wrong.
3so sad for her, she looks
4great in Dior promo, but
thats saying the wrong
words in the wrong time,
BTW... thanks for the extra
info RoyaBlueMoss, that
must be interesting.......
uummmmm.... lol..... RoyalBlueMoooooss?.....

Love the title fab-LOL!!!
5Ah yes I heard about this on E!
Duh moment for her...
6Sharon .. pretty..!!
7Sorry, but Sharon's a friggin' loose cannon. Good on Dior. It her where it hurts, in the wallet.
8hahaha, You kno how it goes guys. It seemed like a good idea when I did it.
9Sharon Stone-hearted. I agree on Dior's move. Looks like Sharon can't differentiate between a political regime and the innocent civilians hit by this disaster.
10I saw the interview video, she seems literally happy and excited for what had happened in China. Kinda of shocked.
11whatever, she's an idiot - and not just because of these remarks - but she constantly sticks her foot in her mouth...
12If she talks that about karma, then if you think about it, Dalai Lama must have done something horrible to receive bad treatment from the Chinese government...And people in New Orleans must have done unimaginable horrid action as well to receive Katrina...and so on and so forth.
And all those victims...based on what she thinks about...basically DESERVE the natural tragedy and bad treatment because of KARMA. Hmmm...
She's a has-been, I didn't know she represented Dior.
13totally agree with hope2be...
14well its not applicable to what she've discribed.
guess thats a KARMA for loosing DIOR..
god bless her..
I'm sorry but she's a freaking idiot.
