This one's a toughie considering both Lake Bell and Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman wore Marchesa's red rosette dress the same exact way. Their red satin shoes and pulled-back hair are the same, but Lake opted for a red snakesin clutch at the What Happens in Vegas UK premiere, while Georgina went with a glittery silver one at the 2008 CFDA Awards. Although Georgina designed the dress, I think Lake has more natural ability to pull off such a funky shoulder detail. Which lady in red do you think wore it better?

Could you make a more unflattering dress??
This is what the Queen of Hearts would wear if she were a linebacker.
yea, the dress itself is pretty awkward looking, but lake's pose and natural face make it look better than georgina.
Yes, that is one unflattering dress. Does the dress have pockets?
I think that's... *gasp* padding, rosadilla.
Too much red on a red carpet! And I think if you don't have very narrow shoulders you'll end up looking like a football player! Sorry, Lake!
hate that dress, so unflattering... and wasn't the same pool posted on go fug yourself yesterday?
I love almost all Marchesa designs but this one is NOT flattering. And I hate that they both wore matchy-matchy shoes.
Oh, and I think it fits Lake better but I prefer Georgina's clutch. So I still dislike it on each of them equally.
I think Georgina looks better since she appears to have a longer neck in the photo, thus distancing herself from the whatever it is on her shoulders.
Ick!
Great dress but would be better with softer hair, neutral or black pumps (nude color fishstockings could be awesome if done right), deep platinum accessories, including a long layered chain necklace. Strong eye makeup, glossy nude lipstick.
I could see Dita von Teese rocking the hell out of this look.
Love Marchesa! I think it looks good on both
bbkf - love it! ROFL!
That is one hideous dress - I can't imagine that ONE person would voluntarily wear it out, but TWO people??? YIKES!
I chose Lake because I didn't like Georgina's choice of silver clutch and red lipstick with the dress. It was difficult though because the dress isn't all that great and Lake does appear to have almost no neck in the picture.
Since the dress is unflattering on someone w/ a good body (such as Lake Bell), then the dress has got to go!!!
Lake has no neck in it.
....Yes!.... And we dont do no neck monsters! LOL! Georgina just looks prettier in it...
lake looks masculine in the picture
I think the dress is ugly as hell. they both fail. lol
Georgina, her shoulders are narrower and can take the width better.
i never choose the "gasp neither" option but this is a fug dress on two lovely ladies.
Lake is too broad in the shoulders for a dress that has a huge ruffle there. Georgina has narrow shoulders and bigger hips in comparison so it balances her out.
lake looks weird in it
On first sight, the dress looked good. When I looked again, I was horrified!
Usually I LOVE Marchesa dresses, but I hate this one. Neither.
I think that there are wee pleats at the hip (yikes) and the gigantic crimson Tribbles that are on their shoulders look more alive to me than the should.
Pretty fabric...but...noo, sorry, fail dress is fail.
*they (not "the"). argh.
I am not loving the dress, but I am loving Lake's pumps.
I hate that Lake Bell has all red accessories and is standing on the red carpet.
What is that on the hip part? Is that supposed to make their hips look bigger or something??
Georgina works it better at the shoulders tho.
i just CAN'T stop chuckling...about bbfk's post (and ID pic)...and the ridiculous dress...and everyone's reactions to it (i agree with everyone, funny as that may seem)...and then again about bbfk's post (2nd one in)...
It just isn't flattering at all. I don't get it!
Neither...that dress is terrible !
