Husband and wife team Ashley Lowengrub and Dara Gerson have joined hands in more ways than one. Besides being married, the duo has also devised a stylish way of saving the planet. Their sustainable jewelry line dubbed Alkemie is made from 100 percent reclaimed metals.

I met both Dara and Ashley at their trunk show at Fred Segal last month. Not only did their cool pieces range from feminine to edgy, but they were both so sweet and gracious. I bought a bracelet which can double as a choker. I wear it all the time. I can't wait to get more of their collection!
1I really like the belt, cord bracelet, and wavy gold bracelets, but most of the pieces just look cheap...
