Botkier for Target handbags are right around the corner and we've got 'em for your viewing pleasure. These bags — priced $20-$50 — will be at select Target stores and at Target.com July 20 through September 14. The line includes clutches, wristlets, satchels and hobos that encompass the designer’s philosophy of using hardware as the “jewelry” of the handbag. The focus of design remains on functionality and the colors include black, white, fuchsia and metallics.
What do we think?! I like these brushed metallic satchels, and I like that they come in both silver and gold. Eenie meenie miney moe!

I don't like the metallic ones, but I like the big purple one.
I love the purple hobo.
Meh. I'm not crazy about these. Some are okay, though.
We'll see. I was really excited about Gryson until I saw them in person. They were so cheap looking.
cute!
gryson was BAD
like these soooo much more than the gryson ones. definitely need the silver metallic one and the purple hobo
I don't like the metallic ones but the purple hobo is gorgeous.
all of these designer things for target end up a mess. theyre all made from cheap material and poorly designed. its sad, because they couldve done something great with the idea of it.
They all look cheap. No, thanks.
I'm super excited about these! I've always loved Botkier. I will probably buy the fuchsia hobo and the black satchel...
I am excited to see these in person. Syako and Whiplash, you are so right about the Gryson bags....very bad! I was hugely disappointed!
I'm in total agreement with Whiplash. Gryson was ugh ::shudder:: very cheap looking. So I'm going to contain my excitement until I get a look in store.
HMM nothing exciting here...
They all are kind of bleh, and look like a lot of bags that are already carried at target. The only one that I would consider is the one matte silver one featured with this post.
loving the gold
I would need to see this in person.
PS: Oh Good grief, YES, the Gryson collection was AWFUL!!!
You can bet you'll be seeing me out and about rocking the purple one.
Ick. They all look so plastic-y. That might just be the pictures; it's a wait and see.
Meh. They just look like cheap bags to me.
ugh, can't they think of anything else to use besides that GROSS plastic stuff? i feel like a truly talented designer should be able to do better than this.
has potential... i'll keep an eye out
i love botkier, looking forward to see how they look and feel in person
the clutches are tres cute
buuuut I just feel like there's been a lot of wasted talent here though! There really is a way to make cheap things that don't look cheap, you'd think with their talent pool they'd be able to figure out how to do that!
Eww I don't like any of these. They look so cheap and tacky.
So cheap looking, but they are promising. ALas, if only target would get of its PVC kick and give us some real leather!
Ugh....why do designers do this? These bags look very cheap.
Nice! I think they all look nice.
Designers do this because there is a market for it and they are paid good money for it.
Well, maybe it is good that they arent using real leather, since it is animal friendly?
But then again if its made out of plastic, that isnt very good for the environment either...
I like the last bag on the first row. The black tote bag.
A girl can never have enough handbags!! I'm excited to see what they look like in person!
I'll check them out, but no promises. I'm not a fan of the plastics and they do look as cheap as they are.
Big fan of Botkier, and they do creat some cute style for the target line; but, not sure if i will get one...do agree with AmberHoney ...
Ditto on all the Gryson comments. I spotted one from afar and walked over to find it looked tres cheap. Anyone else find themselves regularly disappointed with the designer lines at Target? The mainstay Mizrahi line occasionally delivers something interesting, but most of it ends up on clearance because it is just not that stylish. Wish they would live up to the potential of the partnerships they strike.
i just checked my local target today. and actually, it wasnt so bad. i'll wait til they go on sale, but much better than gryson. the plastic wasn't HORRIBLE as i thought. i mean, it still IS A plastic. but it didn't look as cheap-looking as gryson. i liked the colors too. i'm sure i'll get one
The materials all look terrible and cheap. For $50 I can find plenty of non-leather bags that look much more expensive and nice.
I like that all the bag are non leather, and I love that they'll be on clearance at my Target in one to two months. No one in FL pays $50 for a purse at Target, all the limited edition designer bags have been marked way down in the store and online. Keep an eye out ladies!
I prob will get one of these, i will have to look at them first. Havent had a chance to get down there yet. Anyway i bought one of the Rafe bags when they were on the designer line at Target and i was VERY pleased. That was around a year ago an I still use mine on and off. Its actuall still in good shape. I wish i would have got one of their clutches though while they were still there. Oh well..when i go check out the Botkier line, i will see if they have almost the same quality of the Rafe bags. If not ♥ DEFINITLY wont buy, but im still in the air with it. If anyone purchases one comment and let us know how they are. THANKS!!
I am upset. I pay good money for my high-end Botkier bags, just as I do for my Hayden-Harnetts. Why do these new designers sell out to Target? I don't like when designers go mainstream... that's why I stopped buying Coach, because every little 12 year old had a knock off. It's definitely making me think twice about purchasing a new upscale Botkier. Hmmph.
