Don't you love how neon highlighters instantly liven up a boring textbook? Oh, I guess they help you study, too. The same idea goes for fashion. Highlight your khakis with brightly colored separates and you'll be rewarded with admiring glances. Try this look with a khaki skirt or pants. I prefer to keep the bottoms neutral with a spicy shirt but feel free to mix it up like Jenni Kayne did (left), in her 2009 Resort collection.

2I love the idea of combining what I guess you could call neon purple with a creamy vanilla color ever since I saw that in a Christopher Kane show.
