Last week we asked you about Black Nail Polish – Love it or Hate it? It looks like Victoria Beckham Loves It, but most of you hated it. A lot of you did point out, however, that other dark colors are sexy and chic for Fall.
As far as I can tell the original dark nail polish craze started with Chanel's "Vamp" in 1994. Vamp is described as a rich dark chocolaty-red, almost black. Apparently the color was discontinued for awhile, but is now back. I have been trying to find it online all morning and it's nowhere to be found, not even on eBay. If anyone finds it, please let us all know!

12Dark colors are not goth they are sophisticated when paired with the right ensemble. Lots of professional women are opting for dark colored polish this fall. That being said I like the chocolate truffle polish and I have worn the vamp. Both are gorg.

21I'm with the girls who like the darker polish, (on my toes) especially in the cooler months...other wise I have to go with more vibrant colors, I have lincoln park after dark, and Jen, I must look for this brown for my fall Pedi! It is really cute!!!

26I am so glad dark colors are back in style, I always loved the really dark stuff but it wasn't hip to wear
27I went to Neiman Marcus today and they had ONE bottle of Vamp left. They were holding it for a lady, but I convinced them to give it to me instead! I LOVE it! Can't wait to get a manicure/pedicure with it this weekend!

30By the way............on a recent trip to Paris I was informed that Chanel "Vamp" is the same color as Chanel "Rouge Noir". Both are color #18. "Rouge Noir" is the European name, "Vamp" is the U.S. name. Rouge Noir is relatively easy to find on the internet since not too many of us know to look for it! Good luck!
31I think dark nails can be stunning if they are done properly and they aren't chipped or mangled looking. It has to be freshy and perfect otherwise it's just all so wrong!

32myownworstcritic you're right!! I remember buying Vamp on a trip to New York and I didn't try it until I got home but then I looked at my Rouge Noir and it was the same colour. I felt so silly. I fell for a trend LOL!
But, I didn't have to buy any new rouge noir
for a while after that!! 
33Oh yes I love Chanel Vamp only. The others are never quite it. I love to wear the lips and nails. Pretty much in any season:)....
34Right now i think the current craze is MIDNIGHT BLUE. It's a very dark blue. Lovely!
