Two fabulous ladies, one gorgeous Chanel couture dress. Can you believe Cate Blanchett first wore this 2006 Chanel Fall couture dress in 2006 at the London premiere of Volver? Socialite Daphne Guinness recently resurrected the same dress and wore it at the Chanel couture collection show. Cate kept her look simple with black opaque tights and boots, while Daphne stepped it up a couple notches with a wide belt and chunky platforms. Whose version do you prefer?

I think Daphne looks like Outer-Space Barbie in this pic! Cate looks amazing and the dress isn't so "obvious" allowing us to focus on her beauty. Although I really don't like the dress in general . . .

8Cate simply because it looks more wearable and is a wonderful twist on the LBC. Daphne looks like she is stuck in the dress some how ( way to corseted) and the fit around her neck is a little wonky like she choking.

15I have to say Cate; she makes it look classic and simple, which is what I've always loved about Chanel. Daphne looks trashy; it should be illegal to do those kinds of things to a Chanel dress.

23HATE the dress but i'm giving this to daphne. the dress looks too plain on cate. it's a strange dress and daphne made it look even stranger which somehow works for her. she looks like she came from outer space. i still hate the dress though. goodness

26Daphne looks like Britney Spears from her Toxic video but Cate looks completely uncomfortable and the fit is frightening...this one goes to Daphne.
