normally i would say absolutely not...but with lighter fabric denims...rarely but sometimes it can look very chic(the new glamour has some nice combos)...but my god be careful or you will end
up in a texas/canadian tuxedo...either one is really bad!
I have a cute ralph lauren jean jacket (dark denim that looks almost black) which I only wear with dark jeans. But then again, I only own dark jeans! Does that count as mixing denim?
I have lived in Texas my whole life (minus 4 years) and I haven't seen head-to-toe denim since I was a kid (late 80s) on anyone except maybe immigrants in the winter months? Jackets are
generally reserved to one "season" in Texas, whereas in cooler climates they could be common enough to be part of a uniform of sorts. I just do not think "Texan Tuxedo" is an befitting term.
Now, "dress jeans" on the other hand are worn by some (with a super starched shirt!) for weddings and other "fancy" events.
I call head to toe denim "Canadian tuxedos," because of the Canadian BBC show "Trailer Park Boys."
Head to toe denim, mixed or not, screams "Hesher" and "Heavy Metal Parking Lot" most of the time. However, Gweneth Paltrow wore a matching denim jackets with jeans back in the early 2000s and
looked great.
Mixing seems unthinkable to even a rule breaker like me.
calm dowm sldc...i wasn't commenting on the entire population of texas...it is just a term...texan's are terribly fashionable, but cowboys have been known to be from texas...and cowboys have
been known to don the denim on denim look...my apologies to texas and canada...

Singer and actress Selena Gomez posed for pictures at the 2009 American Music Awards with a pretty pink smile on her face. She took advantage of the occasion and went glam; wearing a Talbot Runhof sequin dress with black strappy heels.

7Denim outfits are soooo throwback. Not for me.
8Nah, I have tried in the past and just cannot stand it. No matter what I do I feel like an extra in a Bruce Springsteen video.
Pass!
9Not now, not ever...it looks horrible. I've always thought denim-on-denim (especially different washes) was a big fashion no-no.
