How does celebrating your birthday by breezing down the American River on super size floats sound? Dangerously fun, right? Call me crazy, but just the thought of it excites my adventurous side. The hard part is finding something appropriate to wear on such an escapade. I'm thinking a comfy but cute swimsuit that won't ride up my behind and a cover up to keep me warm. Oh, and I'll need a towel to dry off.

5Word of advice here: As someone who has floated down a river every single weekend of the summer for 28 years, I can say 2 things already.
61. white or pastel swimsuit + river = disaster
2. shoes of some sort (not flip flops) need to be added. Rivers are rocky (most of them) and the ones that aren't are still pretty grody on the bed. Flip flops would fall off in about 2 seconds. You're gonna wish you had them. Trust me.
3. a Hat is a must

17I was planning on going floating a few weeks ago! My real-life outfit was going to be far more thrifty, in case of spillage, but for fab finding, I went with a few luxe-y items (as usual)!
