My high school senior prom dress was Jessica McClintock. I am happy to announce that I still adore what I wore to prom; it was a strapless champagne mermaid gown, with a rhinestone border along the fold at the bustline. It may sound boring, but it was classic. Admittedly, I haven't purchased a piece of Jessica since, but I'm thinking this Jessica McClintock Beaded Soft Clutch ($68) would add character to a simple LBD. Thoughts?

I think I like it but it is hard to tell from the photo. Beaded purses seem to either be fabulous or look like a an old lady bag.
1I think this purse is great! I think it is a great classic evening purse. I cannot tell from just the picture but it might even go great with jeans and a cute top. I think it is a great buy that will get lots of use.

I myself would never carry a clutch, though. Always have to have both hands free and available, and I'm not interested in sticking it under my arm and looking like I'm doing the robot.

11I don't really like it...but I wore my share of Jessica McClintock dresses in the 90s too. Not my prom dress, but just about every semi-formal dress I owned was Jessica McClintock.
12i can't stop associating the bag with prom and homecoming so... nix.
