My mum is awful in her style.. i try and get her to buy nice clothes but she wont!! Really annoys me as she keeps buying the same ankle swinger trousers in cream, shirts and cardies!
She does have amazing bags though like the YSL Muse, numerous Mulberrys and Louis' and shes orderd a Hermes (which i will no doubt attempt to steal Ive already "borrowed" her Muse and
Roxanne!
My mom has a nice laid-back style that suits her age and her figure. She wears probably more colors than I do and doesn't wear make-up, which actually makes her look younger.
It's kind of sad, because my friends tell me that my parents are cooler than me. My mom drives a Harley Davidson and has a killer wardrobe, so I guess that has to count for something.
Oh the mom jeans! horror of all horrors. Once my mom expressed an interest in wearing capris and the next time I see her she has some on. She had taken her lightwashed mom jeans and hemmed
them to capri length!!! She has gotten a little better recently--I was very happy to see her in darkwashed trouser jeans when she met my boyfriend for the first time. And I'm pretty sure the
mom jean capris are gone. I try to help her out when I'm in town.
My mom likes to steal my sister and my clothes and shoes and bags
She won't dress up for around the house but she always looks nice for work and whenw e go out for dinner or something.
I always find it hilarious when I read suggestions in Vogue or some other fashion magazine/blog to steal my mother or grandmother's vintage items. Oh yes, my mother's vintage kmart holiday
themed turtleneck or my grandmother's avon earrings. I'd be the talk of the party...just not in the way I'd want to be.
MOM! Oi, she has great taste, and I love to shop with her, and she always buys me great gifts... but she rarely uses her fashion sense to benefit herself! So now that I am older I have
started buying things for her -- then she has to wear them, if only to be polite!
My mother is horribly unfashionable. She doesn't care about fashion at all. She doesn't even WEAR mom jeans.. I wish she was at least THAT fashionable! haha
My mom is stylish in a very understated and age-appropriate way. Her clothes aren't exciting or fashion-forward by any means, but they always fit well and aren't outdated.
Oh and for the person that said the people in the picture aren't fashionable. They may be over the top but that's Carnie Rothfield. Thats the lady giving Anna Wintour nightmares.
My mom is my style GURU! In the seventies and eighties she made her own clothes and had perfect shoes, hats and handbags to complement them. My dad gave me a "Wardrobe Assessment" that she
had filled out and hung on the wall of their closet. (He was cleaning it out and found it still hanging there - they have since divorced). When she first saw the SNL Mom Jeans skit she threw
out all of her jeans and bought all new pairs. She's got a very classic tailored style. I'm so LUCKY!!!
My mom isn't very fashionable, but she's not blatantly unfashionable either. She's just casual most of the time - kind of like I am, actually. Most days she wears jeans or slacks and a casual
top - she's a SAHM (I live on my own, but my little sister still lives at home) and lives in a small town, so it would be OTT to make too much effort. She does clean up nicely for special
occasions, and she does have a good eye for what would work on other people even if she doesn't get all dressed up much herself. Also, she wore some really cool stuff when she was younger -
she was a bit of a hippie back in the day
My mom is pretty laid-back..
I def get my addictions from my grandmother!!! she is young, people think she is my mom sometimes when we are out..but she is too fabulous for words! I have some of her Vintage jewelry and
Vintage Christian Dior Sunglasses (on loan as she says LOL)
For a woman in her mid-50s, I think she's pretty darn fashionable...she always looks chic and put-together. She's always stressed quality over quantity when it comes to clothing.
My mom's fashion sense is trendy as in she used to buy unflattering clothes for me when I was younger because it was "in style" (I'm 5' and was a bit chubby in my early teen years). When I
look back at some old pictures, I just look frumpy. However, noticeably, her taste has become slightly more refined after we went to Europe. She now knows what clothes compliment our bodies
(strangely she's 5'2") and what are the latest brands and trends, but she still says to me when she finds something for me while shopping: "This is the style now!" LOL
She doesn't dress very fashionably, but she looks pretty sharp. Since she's on the overweight side, she can't afford to wear what's fashionable, but she still knows how to dress her body
well. Despite the limited range in her closet, she has the most killer handbags and shoes. Mom will not walk out of the house on flats and I think she'll be rockin' the three-inch heels when
she's 80! She's the best shopping buddy because she still has great taste and if I ever get compliments on my style, I owe it mostly to Mom. She knows which trends are good, which are bad,
and how to dress elegantly. I look at pictures of teenage Mom and her friends during the 70s and she always looked so stylish - and she made her own clothes! I'll give some credit to our
European background.
My mom goes beyond mom jeans. She figures that since my stepdad is completely blind (seriously, guide dog, cane, etc.) that she does not need to look nice. I wish she would dress in a way for
herself to feel/look good and not for someone else but that is not her mentality.
my mom is not fashionable at all- but i wouldn't say she is an embarassment- at least not most times. she just dresses very plain and preppy. she has a great figure for a woman almost 60-
she's thinner than i am- so i think she should rock it more! she used to wear size 8 jeans for comfort and they were huge- i had to talk her into downsizing and even then she only went down
to a 6... she really should be in a 4!

In this week's Gossip Girl, Blair Waldorf demonstrates that there's nothing like a red sparkly dress to make you stand out at a party. Although her exact Marchesa dress isn't available online, this one is quite similar.

16my mom is very fashionable and has a classic style....
17She's fashionable but tries to hard sometimes. Often, she borders on cougaresque.
18My mom is very fashionable but age appropriate. Well sometimes. She wears a lot of Marni. My mother in Law on the other hand is the queen of Fashion.

24Not nearly as fashionable as I am - because that would be impossible.
Hah!
