Continuing on with Fab's Spring Shoe Guide. If cork heels aren't your bag of chips try on some wood-heeled wedges for size. These have a similar retro look but are more comfy and youthful; it's still a good idea to do some heel stretches though.

Very cute...but (and I fully admit this may be a dumb question to ask but I'm flashing back to middle school and early high school days, when the chunky wooden clogs were in style) wouldn't the wooden wedges be a bit heavy? I don't like knocking people out with my shoes.
1I don't think I can do the wedge! Esp the wooden wedges! I don't know if I can handle this spring's fashions...
2I like the first two - especially the Aldo ones. I'm a big fan of wedges, and wooden ones are particularly cute.
3CGW's right, though - weight is a concern. But they onten come in lighter materials that just LOOK heavy.
I don't know though- I'd be scared to go teetering around in some of those, even though (at 5'2") I need all the height I can get.
I like those last ones. They aren't as scary hefty as the rest.
4The shoes are cute but I'm not a fan of the wedges.
5I like the last one, its subtle and not hookery.
6i love wedges!
7I bought a pair of black wedges with the wood heel and they're very light.
8I sooooo want those!!!!
9They are so sexy, but they are too clunky for me.
10Oh I LOVE these!! They are super cute! ~Carrie~
11I'm a huge fan of the wedge heel so i might have to give these a try!
12I love wedges, not only because they are different from regular heels, but because they are comfortable, too! I have been wearing them for years, and for me they're never out of style. Heavy wedges are to be avoided (!) but you can easily find some lighter styles, even in wood, that look great. I have two pair, one in dark brown and one in red, and I wear them with everything, including pants and jeans. And if you buy them in the right color, you can wear them into fall. If you're afraid you'll fall, try a lower heel and/or an ankle strap.
