The latest trends in denim have been very interesting. You have the young'uns doing the gladiator tuck, gorgeous women wearing their man's baggy jeans, and a variety of denim nip/tuck. This just proves how creative the all-American fabric can be. Whether it's old-fashioned pegging or preppy cuffing, or a mix of both, this trend has me nonplussed. I don't like the look on a baggier jean — see Katie Holmes — but I do like a more laid-back subtle cuff, a la Rachel Bilson. SJP was playing with her jean hemlines months ago, going bike messenger style with the one cuff on one leg. Here's some guidelines, but my advice is: Show off stunning shoes, keep proportions in control, and do not leave the house if you aren't comfortable with your newfound nip/tuck.

I LOVE Rachel's. I actually wear my denim like hers.
1Rachel yes. Because there's no "nip" involved. Katie's...no. I'm having horrible middle school flashbacks.
2AHHH....NO!! Maybe a cuff, but no tight rolls, please!!
3Yeah I rocked this last weekend...because I went wading in a creek. Otherwise I think this is such a stupid trend! Rachel looks fine, Katie and SJP look seriously stupid.
4No.
5At first I was not so much of a fan...but the more I look at it the more I like it. Its different...not bad different just different. I would pair these type of jeans with a more conservative top...more jcrew like. Definitely an option for most women.
6Katie's "look" ---> That's supposed to be a joke, right?
7Rachel is always looking cute and stylish.
Rachel's are the only pair that I like.
8NO NO NO. This is not fashion.
9I keep thinking of the musical "Oliver Twist" when I see katie's ill fitting jeans...
10You have got to be kidding me. Katie is so desperate to make this '80's trend new again. She looks like a fool. Give up girl this look is not flattering. Buy jeans that fit or get cropped ones if you want to show off your shoes.
11Horrible!!!!!!!!
KATIE`S OUT!!!!!...
12I was thinking JCrew too bellechic27. In fact they've been showing off that rolled up look with their vintage slim jeans on their models for the past year. I like the look (if not too extreme) and prefer it to cuffed. Its unfortunate that every time I do it now everyone is going to think I want to be like Katie Holmes.

13Agree, Rachael's is the only one that looks decent.
Katie's make me think MC Hammer pants.
14I actually love this look because I already wear it all the time. I agree that if you want to see it done in a different way to click your way over to jcrew.com. All sorts of photos of models pulling off the look.
15I absolutely hate this look.
16Love it!
17I think Katie looks fabulous. Love her new hair and the style is great. She looks a million bucks but in a way that we can dress too - and hopefully look as great!
18I am such a dork but I really hate rolled denim cuffs, it makes me feel like I'm ten again.
19I LOVE this look! I live in Tokyo and it's very fashionable here. The humidity is so crazy here that I understand why it's done here. Also, wearing flats and sneakers is practically forbidden here, so with heels this trend really works. At least Katie and Rachel's do!
20Hiddeous look. Especially SJP... it looks like she was scratching her leg and just forgot to put the pant cuff down. Seriously. Plus she already has a long horse face... don't add on to it.
21i thought people were already doing this.. i've been rolling up my jeans for years (during the summer). its not fashion forward or anything- its just convenient sometimes.
katie does look like a kid or something though. stupid.
